Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! - Heavy Hitters (ENG/ITA)

Good evening, Splinterlands friends!!!

The introduction of the Stun ability was a huge novelty for Splinterlands gameplay. It allows players to temporarily paralyze opposing creatures (with a 50% chance), preventing them from attacking in the next turn. The addition of Stun not only enriched game strategies but also paved the way for new synergistic abilities, like Knock Out. The latter deals additional damage to already stunned creatures, thus creating new dynamics and tactics for players.

And that’s what we will explore in this week’s Battle Mage Secrets Challenge!!!

Heavy Hitters: This ruleset gives the Knock Out ability to all monsters on the field, so it’s clear that it’s advantageous to deploy at least one monster with Stun, even though this isn’t always possible due to limitations imposed by other rulesets, which might prevent us from using our Stun monsters, even if we have them in our collection.

A generous Mana Cap of 60, with 3 rulesets: in addition to Heavy Hitters, we have Melee Mayhem and Rise of the Commons, which unfortunately limits us to deploying only common or rare monsters.

This was a Brawl challenge for my Guild, but unfortunately, I didn't play very well and made, perhaps, a crucial mistake.

I chose Thaddius Brood as my summoner and deployed a typical team considering the tournament’s limitations: I placed Night Ghoul in the tank position, followed by the new Rebellion card named Helheim Demon, and then Disintegrator, Rune Crafter, Dhampir Stalker, and Liza Fox.

My opponent, on the other hand, used the Soulbound summoner Pembrook Nymph, which allowed him to deploy an additional Gladius monster: he placed Diemonshark in the first position, followed by Arkemis the Bear, Relenor Cleaver, Isgald Vorst, Coastal Sentry, and Swamp Spitter.

Unfortunately, I couldn't deploy an epic monster like Revealer, who with its Stun ability, would have allowed me to leverage the Heavy Hitters ruleset. However, due to the limitations imposed by Rise of the Commons, I couldn't make this move.

Instead, my opponent deployed an excellent, well-balanced team that performed well both defensively and offensively, relying mainly on melee attacks. By round 4, I had completely lost the challenge.

Buonasera amici di Splinterlands !!!

L'introduzione dell'abilità Stun fu una grandissima novità per il gameplay di Splinterlands, permette ai giocatori di paralizzare temporaneamente le creature avversarie( con una probabilità del 50%), impedendo loro di attaccare nel turno successivo. L'introduzione di Stun non solo ha arricchito le strategie di gioco, ma ha anche aperto la strada a nuove abilità sinergiche, come Knock Out. Quest'ultima permette di infliggere danni aggiuntivi a creature già stordite, creando così nuove dinamiche e tattiche per i giocatori.

Ed è quello che vedremo nel Battle Mage Secrets Challenge di questa settimana!!!

Heavy Hitters: Con questo ruleset viene data l'abilità Knock Out a tutti in mostri in campo, quindi è ovvio che conviene schierare almeno un mostro che possiede Stun, anche se questo non sempre è possibile, perchè magari per le limitazioni imposte da altri ruleset, non abbiamo questa possibilità, pur possedendo mostri con Stun nella nostra collezione.

Questa era una sfida Brawl per la mia Gilda, ma purtroppo non ho giocato benissimo ed ho fatto, forse, un errore cruciale,

Ho scelto Thaddius Brood come evocatore, ed ho schierato una squadra tipica con per le limitazioni di questo torneo: quindi ho messo Night Ghoul in posizione tank, seguito dalla nuova carta Rebellion di nome Helheim Demon, e successivamente Disintegrator, Rune Crafter, Dhampir Stalker e Liza Fox.

Il mio avversario, invece, ha usato l'evocatore Soulbound Pembrook Nymph , che gli ha permesso di schierare un ulteriore mostro Gladius: in prima posizione ha messo Diemonshark, seguito da Arkemis the Bear, Relenor Cleaver, Isgald Vorst, Coastal Sentry e Swamp Spitter.

Purtroppo non ho potuto schierare un mostro epico come Revealer, che con la sua abilità Stun , mi avrebbe consentito di sfruttare il ruleset Heavy Hitters, ma per le limitazioni imposte da Rise of the Commons, non ho potuto fare questa mossa.

Invece il mio avversario ha schierato un ottima squadra, ben equilibrata che ha giocato bene sia in difesa che in attacco, basandosi soprattutto su gli attacchi melee, e al round 4 avevo già completamente perso la sfida.

Your opponent had a great lineup! I really don't like rise of the commons when there's a mana heavy match, it takes away so many of the fun options!
