Over the years different people get on-board on hive for different reasons. we all start up as a beginner and gradually we start climbing up the ladder as our knowledge about the platform grows. there are many ways to grow on hive as long as you are consistent with your activities on hive blockchain there is a room for a progressive outcome. most times I have emphasized on the fact that hive blockchain is kept afloat by two categories of people which are the contents creators (Authors) and content readers. a symbiotic relationship exist between this category of people which has led to creation of many other opportunities available on hive.
In case you have not noticed, on hive blockchain the same content creators are also content readers, which means the contents available on hive blockchain created by authors are also consumed by authors. which makes it amazing, you don't have to worry about who would read your post, your audience are already here. you might perform other activities by sharing your links in other platforms but that is just for creating additional publicity and awareness for the content published.

Amidst all this, there is a continuous process which I call The learning phase Which is a process undergone by everyone on hive or should I say a process everyone on hive blockchain is still undergoing. like I said a continuous process of infinite possibilities available for those who are intrigued by the idea of learning. there are a lot of ways to go about learning on hive, in order to understand how things works. the most popular one is mentorship, a responsibility that mostly falls on the shoulder on whoever onboard someone on hive or someone you consider knowledgeable.
I have always had the belief that everyone was invited to hive by someone, which means they are entitled to mentorship from such person but that is entirely untrue. there are people who found out about hive on their own without any knowledge of how it works but somehow they navigate their ways and on the long run they build a successful career on hive, have you ever wondered how that was possible? hive is complex, how were they able to find their way with little or no mentorship?
I mentioned earlier, A symbiotic relationship between authors and readers most people believe they are doing authors a favour by reading their post, probably by curating and reblogging, they consider it as a source of entertainment and all but that is not true. Not all post published on hive blockchain are jokes or comedy most of it are full of knowledge which you might not have noticed. it is one of the privileged enjoyed by most people who have discovered it.
In every post published there is something to learn even if it is a joke, every author has a unique style of writing, usage of markdowns and words which distinguishes them from other writers. though they are initiative on hive to assist and teach newbies how to navigate their career on hive, such as #Newbies-initiative. despite the success of this initiative in helping a lot of newbies on hive blockchain, most of them are oldies nowπ . some of them are also my mentor, so I should not disrespect my elders by calling them newbies π . Jokes apart, not everyone is aware of this initiative, which means not everyone is opportune to get in but fear not there are other ways to learn on hive blockchain, the most efficient one is reading other authors post, a technique I'm a product of and confident of its effectiveness.
1) MARKDOWNS: Everyone must have come across this word, for the benefits of those who have not it is known to be a text format, specific commands or symbols used to beautify and add more quality to your content on hive. some of them are simple and some are complex, I was having issues making use of markdowns especially the complex ones. my mentor tried his best but they can't be around for you always, at some point you have to fend for yourself. I can no longer remember how I came across the post but I was privileged to read a post made by @carrieallen titled Ultimate Markdown tutorial this post was made 6 years ago but lucky for you the lessons are still valuable.
2) Hive learners community: We have a lot of communities on hive platform, this community happens to be a distinguished one that tops the list with many other supportive communities. just like it's name implies hive learners, A community that strives to teach people how to be better on hive, the love their is massive. i get to meet a funny competitor like @jjmusa2004 π and outstanding people like Bruno, queen Nkem and many others. I found out about this community by reading a post of a friend and a mentor @starstrings01.
3) DREEMPORT: A website that provides avenue for hive users to create more publicity for their post and also allows you to engage with other authors, And reward you for it, isn't that fascinating? There are also many other available opportunities available on #dreemport. you can find more about dreemport through their discord channel or website. finding out about this was a little tricky, I read one of @hopestylist post she made earlier this year, at the end of the post she gave a brief explanation about #dreemport and a link. I clicked on it and boom here I'mπ .
4) RISINGSTAR GAME: hive is not just a platform for writers but also for gamersπ , I have been a little skeptical about joining #risingstar because it seems a little complex but the thing is somethings you consider to be difficult are not as difficult as it seems, especially when you find someone to break it down for you. example of such people is @ksam who made analysis about the game play on a post titled Rising star game tutorial: which prompted me to create a rising star account about 3 months ago. you can check out the post to learn more.
5) TAGS USAGE: tags usage are a very significant aspect of creating post on hive used for various purposes such as: categorising your post by using tags related to your post, prompt/contest/challenge/community tags, usage of some tags allows you to earn tokens and occasionally airdrops. I was aware of this but there were still plenty of tags I don't know about. coming across this post made by @ksam titled playing with tags: practical exercise, use and application of tags in hive post broadened my scope to know about tags and their availability.
These are just a few among many other things have learnt from other authors post over the years.
In conclusion
Not everyone has necessary skills or talent in becoming a writer which might seem a little difficult for most people but there is always an opportunity to learn as long as you are willing, moreover hive doesn't require you to be a professional writer before you can be a part of it but having more skills in writing adds more quality to your post. Earnest the learning advantage and benefits of hive by reading others post.

These are most of the things I also discovered on Hive especially when I first joined the platform and yes, there is a symbiotic relationship between the content creators and readers because they are still the same people who perform activities on the blockchain.
