Hi friends,
I have too many things to tell you about this summer’s trips, but my many commitments do not allow me to be as present as I would like on this platform.
But now that I have some free time I want to tell you about my trip to Trentino Alto Adige.
We decided, with my family, to take this relaxing trip the first week of September, thanks to a smartbox that we had been given by our friends.

ho veramente troppe cose da raccontarvi riguardo i viaggi di quest’estate, ma i miei mille impegni non mi permettono di essere presente come vorrei su questa piattaforma.
Oggi però che ho un po’ di tempo libero voglio raccontarvi del mio viaggio in Trentino Alto Adige.
Abbiamo deciso, con la mia famiglia, di fare questo viaggio relax la prima settimana di Settembre, grazie a uno smartbox che ci era stato regalato dai nostri amici.
We left on 1 September with direction Lake Braies. We wanted to visit the lake for a long time but we had never had the opportunity, so this time we caught it. The lake of Braies is located in a wonderful park and as a frame has the beautiful Dolomites.
The lake is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Trentino Alto Adige, so, in case you decide to go, read this post well because I will explain carefully what you have to do.
Siamo partiti il 1 Settembre con direzione Lago di Braies. Volevamo visitare il lago da moltissimo tempo ma non ne avevamo mai avuto l’occasione, quindi stavolta l’abbiamo colta al balzo. Il lago di Braies si trova all’interno di un parco meraviglioso e come cornice ha le splendide Dolomiti.
Il lago è una delle mete turistiche più ambite del Trentino Alto Adige, quindi, in caso decideste di andare, leggete bene questo post perchè vi spiegherò puntigliosamente cosa dovrete fare.
In high season, that is in the spring and summer period, to pass through the Braies valley and reach the lake, you must take an online ticket for 40,00 € ( includes shuttle bus ticket, parking and a voucher of € 20.00 to be used in restaurants or bars adjacent to the lake; ATTENTION, however, the voucher will be issued only if you buy the ticket in the days before your visit, if you should , as it happened to us, buy it the same day, you will not receive any voucher. )
Is there a way to reach Lake Braies without paying a ticket?
yes! you have to enter the Valley before 9:00 in the morning, when the road is blocked by a barrier, or enter after 16:00 in the afternoon.
The alternative is to go out of season, from mid-September, so in this period, the valley is open and you can enter freely at any time of the day.
In alta stagione, cioè nel periodo primavera ed estate, per transitare nella valle di Braies e raggiungere così il lago, è necessario prendere un ticket online dal costo di 40,00 € ( comprende biglietto bus-navetta andata e ritorno, parcheggio e un voucher di 20,00 € da utilizzare nei ristoranti o bar adiacenti al lago; ATTENZIONE però il voucher vi verrà rilasciato solo se acquisterete il ticket nei giorni precedenti alla vostra visita, se doveste , come è successo a noi, acquistarlo il giorno stesso, non riceverete alcun voucher. )
C’è un modo per raggiungere il lago di Braies senza pagare il ticket?
si! bisogna entrare nella Valle prima delle 9:00 del mattino, ora in cui la strada viene bloccata da una sbarra, oppure entrare dopo le 16:00 di pomeriggio.
L’alternativa è andare fuori stagione, dalla metà di settembre, quindi in questo periodo, la valle è aperta e si può entrare liberamente in qualsiasi momento del giorno.
Once we arrived, we parked at the parking lot No. 1 and took a shuttle bus that took us near the lake. There we decided to rent a rowboat to visit the lake from the inside.
The cost of the rowing boat is a bit high, to rent a single boat the cost is 50.00 € for 45 minutes ( max 5 people ) if you want to share the boat with others the cost is 15.00 € per person.
My advice, if you are at least two, is to rent it single, the experience is beautiful and super fun. It took us a long time to figure out how to move forward with the boat!
Noi una volta arrivati, abbiamo parcheggiato al parcheggio n. 1 e preso un bus-navetta che ci ha portati nei pressi del lago. Lì abbiamo deciso di noleggiare una barca a remi per poter visitare il lago proprio dall’interno.
Il costo della barca a remi è un po’ elevato, per noleggiare una barca singola il costo è di 50,00 € per 45 minuti ( max 5 persone ) se invece si vuole dividere la barca con altri il costo è di 15,00 € a persona.
Il mio consiglio, se siete almeno in due, è di noleggiarla singola, l’esperienza è bellissima e super divertente. Noi ci abbiamo messo tantissimo tempo per capire come muoverci in avanti con la barca!
In addition to the boat ride you can walk around the lake through a well-defined and feasible path for children with strollers.
You can then have a packed lunch, given the vast green areas in the valley or have lunch in the various restaurants you find nearby.
There is also a play area for children where it is possible to make paths using a simple ball that you can buy directly there.
We stopped only half a day because we were not equipped and well organized, but we hope to return as soon as possible.

Oltre al giro in barca è possibile passeggiare attorno al lago tramite un percorso ben delineato e fattibile anche per i bambini con passeggino.
Potete poi pranzare al sacco, vista l’immensità di aree verdi presenti nella valle oppure pranzare nei vari ristoranti che trovate nei pressi.
Vi è poi un’area gioco per i bambini dove è possibile fare dei percorsi utilizzando una semplice pallina che si può acquistare direttamente lì.
Noi ci siamo fermati solo mezza giornata perchè non eravamo attrezzati e organizzati bene, ma speriamo di tornarci il prima possibile.
