In this post I want to talk about the two things I liked the most about Expo 2015.
The first is "The tree of life", symbol of the Expo and marvel from the architectural and structural point of view.
The idea of the tree of life was born from the artistic director of the Italian Pavilion. It was built in wood and steel, about 37 meters high and positioned in the center of the Lake Arena, which was, as we said last time, north of the Cardo
In questo post ci tengo a parlarvi delle due cose che mi sono piaciute di più in assoluto dell’Expo 2015.
La prima è “L’albero della vita”, simbolo dell’Expo e meraviglia dal punto di vista architettonico e strutturale.
L’idea dell’albero della vita è nata dal direttore artistico di Padiglione Italia. Fu costruito in legno e acciaio, alto 37 mt circa e posizionato al centro della Lake Arena, che si trovava, come abbiamo detto la volta scorsa, a nord del Cardo.
Throughout the expo, the tree of life offered wonderful music shows combined with lights at every hour, in fact there was a sort of countdown that took place at each end of the show, which made it clear how much time was missing to the next show.
The shows during the day lasted about 5 minutes, while the evening shows, when the sun had come down and the night with its dark colors began to take its all the sky, lasted 15 minutes. I can assure you that it is the thing that I still carry in my heart, and to the thought it excites me.
The evening spectacle of the tree of life was of a profound beauty and caused so much emotion.
Per tutto l’expo, l’albero della vita ha offerto meravigliosi spettacoli di musica combinati con luci a ogni ora, infatti vi era una sorta di conto alla rovescia che scattava a ogni fine spettacolo, che faceva capire quanto tempo mancasse al prossimo spettacolo.
Gli spettacoli durante il giorno, duravano circa 5 minuti, mentre quelli serali, quando ormai il sole era sceso e la notte con i suoi colori scuri iniziava a farsi suo tutto il cielo, duravano ben 15 minuti. Vi posso assicurare che è la cosa che ancora mi porto nel cuore, e al pensiero mi emoziona.
Lo spettacolo serale dell’albero della vita era di una bellezza profonda e provocava tanta emozione.
Altra cosa che mi ha colpito per la sua importanza a livello mondiale è stato il padiglione inglese.
La Gran Bretagna ha deciso di creare il suo padiglione ispirandosi ad un alveare.
L’impatto visivo è altissimo oltre che il messaggio è di vitale importanza.
Il progettista Wolfgang Buttress ha pensato proprio all’alveare e alla sua struttura per realizzare il padiglione, per sottolineare l’importanza che hanno le api nel nostro ecosistema e quindi a sua volta l’importanza di preservarle. Tutto richiama l’importanza che hanno le api all’interno del nostro ecosistema, il loro lavoro è di vitale importanza per il nostro mondo e ne va della nostra sicurezza.
Grazie alla sua genialità Wolfgang è stato premiato per il miglior padiglione dell’Expo 2015.
The pavilion is formed by a cubic structure with metal lattices, which go to form cells, as to remember the cells of the hive, instead of the bees were placed lights, and even the sounds and their hums were reproduced.
Moreover, the swirling structure seems to recall the flight in group of the bees. Inside the beehive there was a glass plate that allowed you to see what was below.
Among them, it was the pavilion that most impressed me both for the importance of the message and for the structure.
Il padiglione è formato da una struttura cubica con reticoli in metallo, che vanno a formare delle celle, come a ricordare le celle dell’alveare, al posto delle api sono state posizionate delle luci, e anche i suoni e i loro ronzii sono stati riprodotti.
Inoltre la struttura vorticosa sembra ricordare il volo in gruppo delle api. All’interno dell’alveare vi era poi una lastra in vetro che consentiva di vedere ciò che stava al di sotto.
Tra tutti è stato il padiglione che più mi ha colpito sia per l’importanza del messaggio sia per la struttura.
