Hello! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve both interaction and curation in the Movies and TV Shows Community, this post is one of many to highlight and boost members of the past week that have posted what we believe is exceptional content.

The Details

Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.

There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

Arcadian (film): It's decent, but that's what we expect of Nick Cage

I found it a bit annoying that the opening sequence existed at all at first but in retrospect this is actually a perfect way of letting us know that something that we don't have to have spelled out for us happened on earth that once again resulted in the shutdown of society without having a narrator spell it out for us and without putting a bunch of words on the screen. Showing us that 15 years have passed are the only words that appear on the screen.

Review of the Korean movie Exhuma

Unlike other Korean productions like the one I mentioned at the beginning that I didn’t like the scenes or the performances, in this one I liked it a lot, the performances are very good and believable, the editing is also very good, you could feel that somber air that something was going to happen. Regarding the horror, although there are spirits and demons, I didn’t feel fear as in other movies, but it has a very attractive plot within the genre. It can be a bit complicated as I said but they explain the story, the Feng Shui and those esoteric things so you can slowly get the hang of it. But still, if at the end you are curious to know a little more, you do as I did when I investigated.

Binge on This - Fallout: Current Issues in a Postapocalyptic Future

Interestingly, the fifties seem to define the entire show. This doesn't only apply to before the atomic war (which itself is set in the 2070's) but even the world of the main story line, over two hundred years later. Everything from billboards, to cars, to media productions is steeped in the very distinct 1950's style. Even the music of the show is a careful selection from those years, ranging from Bing Crosby to Buddy Holly. I thought this was kinda strange at first, but after a while it started growing on me. Also, it's important to keep in mind that the world we see is not the 50's of our reality, as there are more high-tech gadgets all around, and interestingly racism is also taken out of the equation, without any sign of racial discrimination toward anyone.

It's more than an Obsession : Baby Reindeer | Review

Returning to the theme of the series, this is what happened with this woman, she did not know how to let go, she lived with that illusion, with that sick desire, that this man would listen to her, that he would be with her, in any way, and he for his part, did not know how to get rid of her, but he did not want to let her go, either out of pity, guilt, for whatever reason, it was a strange, morbid, disturbing relationship for both of them.

💕🪞 Mi Opinión Sobre: Bridgerton (Temporada 3 - Parte I) 🎥👑 || 💕🪞 My Opinion About: Bridgerton (Season 3 - Part I) 🎥👑

Overall this first part of the season left me in love, again Bridgerton doesn't disappoint in terms of set design, soundtrack, costumes and production, so those are elements that always leave me satisfied. This season is being pretty faithful to the book in most of the events, obviously there are changes but I feel that they were handled with enough subtlety to integrate them perfectly with those things that are taken as they are from the book, because there are even dialogues that are just like the books. When I saw the trailer and saw the new friendship that would be formed in this season, I thought it would bother me more than it really was, because I think that at least so far, I liked the friendship that Cressida and Eloise formed, although what I really found interesting to see was the deepening that was given to Cressida's character, she is still for me a person that I don't have much esteem for in the series, but the version that we have been given of her now I liked (plus she was the only one to tell Eloise a certain truth 😒).

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II | Review

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey II, has scenes that are of great impact, dark and that great touch of evil, and thus to take this film to another level, but the image of that great bear is ruined and no matter how much they put to rescue it will be impossible. In addition, it highlights a little more the work of the animals when attacking and this time the costumes and clothing that are placed are more realistic and thus allows it to be much more impact, causing each of them to take you a great scare, leaving certain clues and mysteries so that everything can be possible, therefore Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey II, can be good or bad depending on how you like that great bear.

One night in Bangkok

Putting myself in Mark Dacascos's shoe, I can act the way he did, killing those that are involved in the killing of his family would put an end to some illegal activities and it's only a well trained soldier. but killings should not be the solution, he can get the truth with the evidences that he gathered and leak their secrets.

Bebé Reno

Most admirable of all, this story was written by Richard Gadd, starring himself and most courageous of all, he wrote and dramatized his own story. Applause for this author. Regardless of the other performance details of the film, it takes a lot of courage to tell the tragedies of his life.

Film Review: Una historia de amor que comenzó en Notting Hill | A love story that began in Notting Hill 💓

Without a doubt, I recommend this two-hour romance and comedy movie that you can find on HBO MAX, VIX, MagisTv and several online movie platforms both in Spanish and subtitled. Notting Hill is a wonderful place where it shows that sometimes love despite cultural differences, social status and all the problems that this could bring: Anna and William decided to cross any barrier and I liked it a lot although I still prefer the chemistry that Julia Roberts had in Pretty Woman with Richard Gere. 💓

TV Series Review: Shōgun | An epic saga of war set in Feudal Japan

There are good plot twists, and of course, the moments of intense action are also very well placed, this is skillfully intertwined with the dialogue scenes, creating a very good balance, the ideal for the viewer to be captivated, and not get bored. This series is undoubtedly one of the best of the year, although there is still a long way to go to see all the productions... I feel that if it will have its deserved place as one of the best, or at least, one of the best technically elaborated, we will surely see it being nominated for an award. It serves as a wonderful way to cross cultural barriers, to get more people interested in Japanese culture and its complex antiquity
