#feedback

in LeoFinancelast month

Oh boy.....Task is gonna think I'm complaining here :) But here's my #feedback

OK, let me stress this before I dive into this....I love $LEO I haven't been more excited about a platform and project in years of being in crypto. Heck, I was even part of the LEO team a few months ago and the only reason I had to step down, was an offline opportunity that presented itself.

So please know, absolutely EVERY single word of this post is made from a place in my heart that genuinely wants to see this project crush it! I basically hold 2 tokens....$HIVE and $LEO so this is it for me lol I have no plan B in crypto!

InLeo and more specifically Threads has had quite the history. And according to a recent Tweet I saw from Khal, it's about to celebrate it's 5th anniversary. While most #web3 platforms have fallen off the map, this thing continues to be here day in and day out. There's a LOT to be excited about!

Here's the curse of being an online project...

If you 'stop doing new things' online, you can easily be forgotten because if you think you are fired up to produce amazing products, your competition is right behind you doing just a little bit more...So you have to keep 'doing things'. The issue I think is that LEO needs to put the 'major thing' front and center and slow down on developing new features until the 'platform' is a rock solid offering.

Again...This is all written out of love because I'm a decent holder of the $LEO token, so I have a vested interest in seeing this thing prosper. But I do believe the team is so excited to 'try things', add new features and build things, they may have forgotten that what keeps people coming back is a platform that...Works. All the time!

If things don't work, people will just stop coming back. There's an old saying that you never get a second chance to make a first impression, this is true online. Sure there are a few die hards that will stick around no matter what, but for the general user, if things don't work or get addressed, they leave.

And the Threads / InLEO platform has issues. From loading, to not posting images, to being offline, it's been a constant problem for users since it got released. And yes, it's being worked on and yeah there isn't a multi-million dollar VC behind it, but having your main offering work all the time, should be an absolute priority on the top of everyone's mind.

Here is the next problem with a #web3 platform, is that it's attached to the hip with crypto. So to get people using #web3 you need a sexy token. And let's be honest, $HIVE isn't sexy. People aren't beating down the hatch to build a following here because the overall crypto market ignores this blockchain. For reasons that could be an entire blog post in itself lol So the team is branching out and trying to integrate with MAYA, which is a great idea. And I know it will be huge!!

Here's my 'but'...

Crypto goes up and down all the time. If we are going to base our experience around crypto, we need to not rely on the markets. Which is kind of the direct angle jumping on board with MAYA is presenting.....Bigger market share, bigger potential investors, bigger price for $LEO

Again, this is a fantastic idea and I love it. But my thought is that the the platform itself, doesn't need crypto to be in the green. I'll use InLEO and Threads because of the experience I have and the community it's built...Not because of the price. But again, this is the double edged sword when it comes to a #web3 platform....You have to cater to both. People want their 'free tokens'. And they want that token to have value!

Which puts LEO in a very unique space...

I just think the major thing needs to be the major thing. Buy backs should come back with a bang as well, because that was such an amazing offering to the public...This is what will keep people here long term...The EXPERIENCE they have!

If people have an incredible experience, word of mouth starts spreading and you will see some new potential Lions flooding into the platform.

Just a couple of thoughts from Jongo, make the experience remarkable and get the platform to work with zero issues and I truly believe, everything else will work itself out! Combine that with the buy backs AND what's built now on MAYA....$LEO 's future is as bright as it comes!!!

I love LEO as well otherwise I wouldn't have nearly 150,000 in it and have bought into CUB and Polycub and now Maya lol. Along with a massive amount of my time. I'm not complaining either I'm just looking for some damn wins it's frustrating but seems to honestly be a repeated thing over and over again for the last 3 years. Something starts working for a month and then BAM it's over lol or we constantly flip flop all over the place and don't end up really generating anything.

Now I will say Leo has been making some ok moves lately and it shows in the price increase we had finally but we are still a very long way off. I legit hate that ad buy backs after nearly 3 years lasted for what 2 months with a ton of hiccups?

It's just downright frustrating as a investor and as a user. Shit just needs to work and I did highlight that building the everything app means you fix one thing and break two others lol

Thats my thinking too. I'm soooooo 'team LEO' and will ride with this platform. I just think and you know man, this is an entrepreneur thing..We try to get so many ideas off the ground at once, we forget sometimes to get one thing rocking perfectly, then get the others following up.

I love LEO also but I do think that the issues are there. The downtime sucks and sometimes things just don't work. I agree that things need to be more stable. I think the ad buybacks stopping really sucks. I thought it was sustainable but I guess it wasn't what they thought it would be.

I know they will get things fixed. And this post is meant much more of a support post and honest feedback. Hope they take it as such cause I'm still stacking these tokens!

Not a multimillion dollar VC, but they pull in some decent money from the DHF. Seems it should be a priority given the fact that the users of the platform vote for those proposals.

They are working on so many things, so many things on the plate, I think that's the issue. Jack of all trades, but the issues keep popping up. If the platform was stable, everything else would fall into place.

Do one thing or few things and do it DAMN WELL. Every start up I've been with loses focus of this and it's been my job to come in and restructure. It always goes back to trimming off the extra that's doing ehh ok and refocusing down on what made them popular in the first place. I admit though as a business CEO etc it's easy to lose focus on that when your company is growing and it can rapidly sneak up on you.

I also get that LEO seems to be making decent bucks but the end user or better yet the end investor is not seeing that return. That's also the issue Hive has now. There's many more options producing Hive simply isn't anymore.

Hive was once ahead of it's time I feel now it's fallen behind and without serious development action it's going to slowly fade out. Look at 3speak I feel like they have so much damn money and honestly I haven't seen a damn thing change over there lol

Yeah thats a whole other topic, Hive lol Cause I agree...They've had years to be pioneering this stuff, now new projects are passing it by weekly.

I just mentioned this on one of @khaleelkazi , the site currently has two basic needs uptime so ppl can post and upload images, those are the core functions and it's not even 80% smooth, the point about the market is irrelevant since nobody needs to invest on Hive or Inleo to make some money, just make relationships or become popular and you get upvotes, they need to focus on the basics and listen to those who keep bitching because that's the masses unless Inleo is a platform just for a small group then why bother? Mute everyone who keeps bitching....Everyone needs to chill and keep going but first clean up the house

Thats a really good point and something I tried to echo in this post...Markets be damned, what matters is the experience and the relationships...And without a solid platform, we dont have that.

The fact that Inleo brings up new updates all the time makes people keep using the interface
There is usually one development or other on Inleo

The point is that one of these developments needs to work properly, which they don’t most of the time.

I stopped using Leo as an interface because most of the time things just don’t work properly and it is aggravating. The constant changing and going back on things needs to stop until they can get things working properly again.

I have no problem with the team working on multiple things, I just think the focus should be getting the platform and user experience as rock solid as possible.

Rome wasn't built in a day ! I believe with time both Hive and Leo tokens will be the at their rightful place in the crypto space which is the top . It's only a matter of time !!

Yeah I have been hearing that about Hive for almost a decade now lol

Things wont change on Hive until we get out of our way.

mhmm! so how do we get out of our way if i may ask

I myself have known about this project for a long time but due to lack of money I could not invest in it but now the effort is to put money in it so that I can do well in the upcoming market. Monetization You have done all the right things. When the team comes up with something interesting like this, people will be more interested in the project.

It's still the single best project on the blockchain. Just needs a few kicks in the butt and then the sky's the limit.

Yeah you are right.
