Looks like silver is finally waking up. And it's all over the news π
Not only did it break the psychological barrier of 30$ but it pushed a bit over 31$. Neato! And finally after stacking for three years this feels like a proper win.
Will it go up? Will it go down? Who knows. This is more of a celebration post anyways ^_^
It's not like I will be selling, my silver is more like my emergency personal atm fund that I won't be touching unless shit really hits the fan! Fingers crossed, this is not happening anytime soon!
Of course it would be nice to see it going higher and higher. Historically, silver reached it's all time high of 49.51 $ in April 201q and considering how the dollar isn't as strong today as back then I don't see why not. After all, the industrial uses and applications of silver (e.g. solar technology) only keep increasing.
And it's not like silver is that common. There's roughly just half an ounce of silver per person if it was to be divided equally among all living humans. That's about 15 g. Me personally, I have more than enough for a small village :p
Meanwhile, the same number for gold is about 0.75 ounces. The only reason that silver is not stupidly expensive like gold is probably because it's not heavily hoarded by banks and governments. Not yet anyways.

Thanks for the hint, I didnt look into the silver price this week yet. I will sell some at $50, but not all cause I think there is room for much more. Historically silver seems to be a spiker, so I will try to sell when it spikes.

Silver hasn't moved much so it's nice to see it finally move up. Hopefully, it does maintain it's new price. I wonder if the banks or hedgefunds couldn't stop the price fixing on the futures market.
Just like those who believed in him, they will be very happy to see the profit.
