Being immortal? A positive vision (WEEK:206)

Before seeing this topic proposed by @galenkp in the #Weekend-engagement, I had sometimes fantasized about what it would be like to be immortal and how I would face life in this circumstance.

If we compare our life as a train carriage in which we are permanently along the journey, there will be passengers that we love dearly, such as our family and friends, who will be getting off at the first stops of our immortality.

However, other people who may also be enriching will be getting on our wagon and may even make us happier than the people with whom we currently share the wagon.
At the end of the day, life is made up of multiple paths through which our life passes.

“With great power comes great responsibility”

Thinking about what I would do with my life in the case of having the possibility of being immortal, the famous phrase from the Spider-Man movies came to mind.

And that is why I would use that power to help society and take sides in dangerous situations for the common good of the community, such as risking my life for others knowing that I could keep my life.

I imagine being able to fight fires as a firefighter who can never die and remove mortal human beings doomed to burn to death from any place.

I imagine myself battling in some conflict on the side of the weak who are being oppressed by an aggressor state, with no chance that they can destroy me.

And I imagine myself defending the beauty of the world in the face of any adversity, without the fear of losing the most precious thing a human being has, which is life. Always helping those in need, as the UN blue helmets do.

Definitely that phrase is my favourite, and if I were immortal I would think the same that my life can help others in every possible way.

I know that those I love would leave, but it is a great power to be immortal and I must use it well. Thank you @castri-ja

Using immortality to make a better place for mortals is a good option, that line from Spider man is legendary and so profound it's great, cheers.
