Life is about positive impart and influence, to live a life of love and of service to humanity is to live life indeed. There are times when the unpalatable situations or occurrences happens which no one actually desire for, the best response is to be of help at that moment to the needy. Natural disasters like flooding, earthquakes, earth tremors with other negative occurrences like famine, disease outbreak, wars and so on happens which rendered many homeless and hence, the need to be gathered together in a place called a refugee camp as arranged by the government or organisations.

No one actually wishes for all these to happen but of course it happens and something ought to be done to meet the needs of these refugees. If these ones aren't taken good care of, they may be depressed, feel less of themselves and may experience poor feeding with diseases breaking out amidst them. In addition, such camps needs good healthcare facilities equipped with professionals aswell as good security coverage.

Volunteering at a refuge camp will be something i will be so glad to do because i see it as a way of helping someone in need and also to contribute or give back to the society or country in my quota. I have been a volunteer at different times and places for different purposes because i find joy ad fulfilment in doing this. I remembered during my undergraduate days back then in the University that we reach out to villages and offer free healthcare service to them.

I believe that been a volunteer at a refuge camp this weekend will afford me the privilege of providing healthcare service to these refugees as i work together with other personnel in achieving this. Also, i have been a member of guidance and counselling unit sometimes during my undergraduate studies and by this, i can also be a part of the team that encourages and motivate these refugees unto something better despite all that happened in the past.

Also, as someone who has successfully undergone a national service in my country (Nigeria) here, some of the things I learnt during that mandatory one year national service will be helpful in this refugee camp. Some of these includes; public enlightenment, smooth working relationship with inter-government/private institutions, volunteering at the warehouse where resources are kept ensuring proper storage is done, providing support in the kitchen and also, a para-millitary support.

As a healthcare professional, i will help in drug purchase, sourcing and administration working effectively with other professional colleagues. Also, vaccine administration to prevent outbreaks of diseases and enlightenment on how to ensure proper health and safety measures to prevent outbreak of diseases. These all will be done as someone who cares alot about these refugees out of love, care and support for them despite the current challenges they are facing.

In all, i believe so much in giving back to humanity and society at large in my own quota because i believe life is too big to be lived for oneself alone without any positive influence or impart on others. I believe with this, the present challenges will be overcomed and these ones will find courage to live life again in good hope and happiness. Thank you for reading.

This is my entry to weekend-engagement 206 answering the question on; A rockstar or a volunteer at a refugee camp this weekend? Thank you for reading and i wish us all a great weekend. Comments, contributions and suggestions are welcomed.
