Sugbo Mercado | An Alfresco Way To Dine

Happy weekend, Hivers! I hope you all had a relaxing and recharging weekend ahead. My work week has been quite busy and it has been overwhelming. So after a long day at work, my colleagues and i went out for dinner to unwind. We went to Sugbo Mercado in IT Park, Cebu City.

This is a place where different food stalls come together to offer a variety of food selections and cuisines, from Indian, Korean, Chinese and Filipino dishes. A lot of foreigners come in this place too.

As we walk past the different stalls, the question of what to choose is always ever present especially when we're all hungry and everything seem so tasty. So we roam around and check out all the food stalls first before deciding for ourselves.

One of my colleagues suggested for the pork back ribs with java rice because it looks huge and tasty. Plus, its budget friendly too. So 3 out of 4 of us ordered the back ribs. (The verdict: tastes okay. But i find nothing special about it.)

Another challenge when dining in Sugbo Mercado is finding a seat as it is very crowded, more so during Fridays and weekends. Thankfully, we manage to get a seat after a few minutes of waiting.

This place also implements "Clean As You Go" policy wherein diners make sure that the tables are clean before leaving the area. I hope we can also practice this habit wherever we eat (i.e fast-food restaurants and street foods).

After dinner, one of my colleagues wants to hit the nearby Mall to buy some things. So, we went inside Ayala Central Bloc.

We stroll for a bit and took advantage of their aircon as it was so hot outside. Afterwards, we went home.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

Love, Jane
