Jesus Christ Is Our Teacher

Matthew 17:5 (KJV) While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Jesus Christ is our Teacher. He is the one sent from God to reveal the commandments of God to us. We are instructed by God to listen to him. We are to obey His teachings. The teachings of Jesus Christ are written in the Bible. He gave them to the apostles and the apostles handed them over to us. We must hear Jesus by listening to the doctrines taught to us from the Bible.

Observing All Things That He Has Commanded Us

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

All the commandments of God given to us must be obeyed by us. We must obey all the commandments. There is none of the commandments which we can ignore. We must receive the doctrines of Jesus Christ and believe in them. We must receive baptism and repent from our sinful ways. We must do good to all men. We must join the church and serve God in love. All that we have been commanded in the Bible, we must obey them.

We Must Join The Church

Hebrews 10:25 (KJV) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

The church is an institution which Jesus Christ established. Jesus Christ came to do the will of the Father. The doctrines that He taught to us are the commandments of God. Joining the church is one of the commandments. We must not reject the church if we want to do the will of God. Many people say that the church age is over. That is not true. This is the church age. We must receive baptism and join the church.
