HAF Node Usage
As we have recently announced, our HAF node is in full throttle. After a short testing period, we migrated all our Actifit-related services to rely on our node as a primary node, taking off any extra load over other hive nodes.
This resulted in a much faster response time to our services as our node was mostly underutilized in comparison to others.

Hivescan.info Block Explorer
We recently set up a public front end for a hive block explorer, based on the work by @blocktrades team git link
We wanted to have an official alternative to hiveblocks.com as it has been mostly down. Hence we acquired the domain hivescan.info, linked it to actifit.io.
We are looking into contributing development work to the block explorer in the near future.

HAF snapshot Torrent seed node
We setup a new node dedicated to providing torrent access as a seed node to the synced HAF snapshot.
This would come in handy to anyone looking to download HAF node spanshot via alternative, dispersed, and hopefully faster means.
Post Creation Improvements
Recently, we received some feedback regarding our app post creation mechanism, which had few failed responses due to node unavailability. We dug through this and noticed this could be affected either by hive node load/downtime or our own actifit API nodes being down.
We implemented an improvement which would auto-switch not only hive nodes but also actifit nodes, enabling faster resolution of any downtime on post creation.
Events
We recently hosted, sponsored and/or participated in few events in promotion of both Hive and Actifit, as follows:
- Buzz Party: We were happy to sponsor this cool event hosted by @tibfox from @buzzparty, and included 60 HBD in rewards which were distributed to 3 participants.
- Hive Motion: An fitness-focused event created by @yonnathang and the @hispapro community to promote Hive and Actifit among gyms and fitness enthusiats, through which we had 37 new users signed up to hive.
- NFTopia: We participated in the NFTopia virtual event thanks to an invite from Gabe and Cryptoshots team presenting Actifit to the NFT/WAX/Gaming audience.
Development Updates
We are currently working on several fronts including mobile and web enhancements.
We plan on releasing a new iOS version in the coming month or so to introduce new functionality and integrations to the Actifit app.
We also recently sent out few pushes to our live actifit.io web experience, essentially covering bug fixes and enhancements targeting dark mode display, as well as thumbnail image display under specific cases.
