Hello community of gamers and adventurers, I hope you are very well, I am really having a hard time with my Subnautica, since this game increased my thalassophobia and is that the fear of the sea or large bodies of water is revealed when playing games of this genre, on the other hand, my instinct of masochism prevents me from giving up and on the contrary I want to discover everything that can bring this wonderful planet 4546B.
Exploration has changed significantly since I first arrived on the planet, in Subnautica Below Zero I am realizing that exploration is not just limited to navigating through large bodies of water or submerged caves, it is more than that. From going deep into the cold polar surface to encountering polar animals that would devour you in one bite and turn you into their dinner, this allows you to have a different experience of Subnautica.
I dared to go a little further into the polar territory of this planet and I could reach some scientific facilities, which made me discover a new technology as well as to see the belongings of Sam (the sister of our protagonist), which had disappeared along with the scientists.
But something undoubtedly caught my attention, memories of Subnautica 1 revived in my memory, seeing this portal and I constantly ask myself this question: WHAT HAPPENED HERE? This for those who don't know is a portal that connects two parts of the planet, what portal links to this one?
On the other hand, just as there are strong predators, there are also some very colorful beings, which are a combination of the personality of a monkey that takes everything from you and the aesthetics of a seahorse combined with a dolphin.
These colorful animals can come out of nowhere and take away the object you have in your hand, or come friendly and offer you different materials and components always giving it to you with a smile, (EVEN THEN I STILL GET SCARED WHEN SOMETHING COMES UP MY BACK WITHOUT REALIZING IT).
MY WORST FEAR COME TRUE
This time I had to explore a ship that has been submerged for a long time at more than 200 meters deep, at first, I thought it was my imagination, but as I entered the ship my fear became reality, I got lost, the air was constantly running out and I began to be afraid, I had saved the game inside this ship and not getting out meant the end of the game or die and have to look for everything again. Luckily I was able to find the way (WITH A LOT OF HARD TIME) and get the component to deactivate the tower, here some images of my frustration.
Subnautica would not be what it is without its predators and although there are some that are harmless or easy to dodge... there are others that, well not so much... After getting lost inside the ship and finally being able to leave I returned to my base, but not before being attacked by this dreadful beast that approached me in a silent but deadly way.
In summary, Subnautica Below Zero offers a lot of diversity in the things you can create for your base as well as in the flora and fauna of the planet, another of the new things it offers is the way in which the player has to explore, not limiting it only to the water, having a surface that is certainly worth exploring. This second installment of Subnautica is full of mysteries and new challenges, it is no longer just a planet where only we exist, there is also another human being and we have a very specific mission, to know what happened here and how the scientists of the planet and the sister of our protagonist disappeared.

Hola comunidad de gamers y aventureros, espero estén muy bien, yo realmente la estoy pasando bastante mal con mi Subnautica, ya que este juego aumento mi talasofobia y es que el miedo al mar o a grandes cuerpos de agua se ve revelado al jugar juegos de este género, por otra parte, mi instinto de masoquismo me impide rendirme y por el contrario quiero descubrir todo lo que puede aportar este maravilloso planeta 4546B.
La exploración ha cambiado significativamente desde la primera vez que llegue al planeta, en Subnautica Below Zero me estoy dando cuenta que la exploración no solo se limita a navegar por los grandes cuerpos de agua o cuevas sumergidas, es más que eso. Desde adentrarme en el frio polo de la superficie hasta toparme con animales polares que te devorarían de un solo bocado convirtiéndote en su cena, esto permite tener una experiencia diferente de Subnautica.
Me atreví adentrarme un poco más en el territorio polar de este planeta y pude llegar a unas instalaciones científicas, las cuales me hicieron descubrir una nueva tecnología asi como también poder ver las pertenecías de Sam (la hermana de nuestro protagonista), la cual había desaparecido junto a los científicos.
Pero algo sin duda capto mi atención, recuerdos de Subnautica 1 revivieron en mi memoria, al ver este portal y constantemente me hago esta pregunta ¿QUÉ PASO AQUÍ? Esto para los que no sepan es un portal que conecta dos partes del planeta, ¿qué portal enlaza a este?
Por otra parte, asi como hay fuertes depredadores también hay unos seres bastante pintorescos, los cuales son una combinación entre la personalidad de un mono que te quita todo y la estética de un caballito de mar combinado con un delfín.
Estos pintorescos animales pueden llegar de la nada y quitarte el objeto que tengas en tu mano, o llegar amigablemente y ofrecerte diferentes materiales y componentes dándotelo siempre con una sonrisa, (AUN ASI NO DEJO DE ASUSTARME CUANDO ALGO LLEGA POR MI ESPALDA SIN DARME CUENTA).
MI PEOR MIEDO HECHO REALIDAD
En esta oportunidad me toco explorar una nave que lleva bastante tiempo sumergida a más de 200 metros de profundidad, primeramente, pensé que era mi imaginación, pero conforme me adentraba a la nave mi miedo SE HIZO REALIDAD, ME PERDÍ, el aire se agotaba constantemente y empecé a tener miedo, había guardado la partida dentro de esta nave y no salir suponía el fin de la partida o morir y tener que buscar todo de nuevo. Por suerte pude encontrar el camino (CON MUCHA DIFICULTAD) y hacerme con el componente para desactivar la torre, aquí algunas imágenes de mi frustración.
Subnautica no sería lo que es sin sus depredadores y aunque hay alguno que otro que es inofensivo o fácil de esquivar… hay otros que, bueno no lo son tanto…Luego de perderme dentro de la nave y al fin pudiendo salir regrese a mi base, no sin antes ser atacado por esta espantosa bestia que se acercó a mí de forma silenciosa pero mortal.
En resumen, Subnautica Below Zero ofrece mucha diversidad en las cosas que puedes crear para tu base asi como también en la flora y fauna del planeta, otra de las cosas nuevas que ofrece es la forma en que tiene el jugador de explorar No limitándolo solo al agua, habiendo una superficie que sin duda vale la pena explorar. Esta segunda entrega de Subnautica está llena de misterios y nuevos desafíos, ya no solo es un planeta donde solo existimos nosotros, también hay otro ser humano y tenemos una misión muy específica, saber que paso aquí y como desaparecieron los científicos del planeta y la hermana de nuestro protagonista.

This series is one of the best-underrated games out there. I have been wanting to play it but the crippling thalassophobia keeps me from playing it. I downloaded it twice and deleted both times whenever I think of the reapers in the bottom of the sea.

yes, the first version I passed it twice, the second one was in one life mode and I really enjoyed it :) this second version has many more challenges and above all a very different survival with more creatures and a worse wasteland than the first version.
Do you use mods? There’s a mod for the first one where all the prehistoric ones are alive and kicking. Where the gargantuan leviathan is present. That is the scariest mod I have found in a long while.
I don't use mods, I wanted to see how the game was without them, but when looking for guides on youtube on how to do some things I realized that there are some mods that install some incredible things.
Como alguien que nunca lo ha jugado, me sorprende lo duro que puede ser y lo facil que puedes perder todo jsjs. En mi cabeza, Subnautica no era un juego muy extremo, pero veo que ese componente survival está bastante presente. Por otro lado, me gusta mucho como se ve a nivel gráfico, sobre todo en esta foto con la iluminación debajo del agua en la nave hundida.
No te imaginas el terror que senti al ver esa entrada y el terror que senti al perderme dentro de la nave crucero, es una sensacion que no le deseo a nadie!
