Time is a nebulas dimension for Nada and Polo. They wish to study a natural relic from the distant past, something truly ancient, to give context to the present. They seek a research crew to excavate the burial ground of ancient creatures and share the data with their planetary contact. The crew is free to keep the physical specimens.
After read the mission info and leave the space Anomaly, I jumped to a really beautiful system called Aiming-Ruzyak III System. I am the first discover this system, first contact. This system has 5 planets and 1 moon. It's a Vy'keen's system.
Before departed to the targeted planet, I landed on the space station to check the multi-tool cabinet, and to upgrade my inventory storage as well. The space station has a reddish look, it was like an alert has been triggered, but actually it's not.
Then, I fly to the potential natural burial sites located. The planet called Wotonianu Prime. It was a Caustic Planet kind of biome and it's unmapped, yet.
I activated pulse engine and reduce the estimated time taken to reach the planet, from 32 minutes reduced to 12 seconds. That's 68,894 units per second, pretty fast.
There was giant brownie mushroom all over the surface of the planet. While fly much slower than before, I choose my landing area carefully. This planet was full of flora, and has stinging atmosphere.
From the scanner, the natural burial site was located 648 units from the place where I landed. So without wasting much time, I enter my starship and fly over the targeted area in seconds and started digging. That's my first ancient bones extracted from beneath the ground.
The scanner's signal was really bad, so I need to move to the higher ground to get a better signal. I am not sure if the altitude really affect the signal's strength, but that's what I did and it's work. When I reached the second targeted area, I started to dig the ground using terrain manipulator. There were four ancient bones in there.
I excavated a 2368 years old bone. It can be sell to the terminal at the space station for a sum of 1million per bones. Excavate 100 of that and you will get 100 millions. It's not easy tho, but it's worth it. I remember the early time where I struggle for hours to grind 200k just for a rank B multitools, I was so happy at that time. Well, now knowledge as well as my income has increase and it easier for me to earn millions.
I continue the search. I keep getting more bones in one area. It's like hitting a jackpot in a row. Collecting 12 ancient bone will be much easier if I keep getting more bones per area.
After successfully excavated twelve ancient bone from various places on this planet, I stumbled upon a minor settlement. There were seven landing pad near the minor settlement. It was actually a trading point where I can sell and buy resources, module, and more from the Vy'keen NPC.
Other than Vk'keen traders, random starship landed on the landing pad as well. This gave me the chance to get a cool starship. I wish an exotic starship will land, but I am not so lucky this time. Although I wait for a while, I saw none of the starship that came caught my interest.
Then I proceed my mission and fly to the space. It require me to scan for an NPC to verify the ancient bones that I just extracted from the planet. But then, sentinel interceptor detect my scanner being activated on space, so they came to eliminate me who extracted the ancient bone. Space battle cannot be avoided, so I take down several sentinel interceptor before the sentinel capital shop arrive.
The sentinel capital ship finally has arrive after the sentinel interceptor wave has been defeated.
So as usual, I must destroy the ship's shield generators first. I keep getting fired by the anti-starship gun that shot from the ship. I must admit, the damage that I had taken from the gun really big. I had to replenish my shield many time before I finally destroy all the shield generators.
The sentinel capital ship's shield was destroyed, together with all the turret, anti-starship gun that gave me hard time. After the shield down, I can fire from far distance. Rapid fire finally took the sentinel capital ship down.
Sentinel capital ship defeated, the sentinel forces retreating.
With the sentinel forces being defeated and retreated, I can scan freely without interruption. Polo's contact has been located. It took 4 hours to reach with the speed 11 units per seconds. lol
Pulse engine activated, I reach the targeted location in mere seconds.
Polo's contact has been located at the nearest moon called Epeniusa Beta. When I talk to the Vy'keen, he seem (look like male to me lol) to understand the nature of what I have brought them. So I show the peculiar partial skeleton sample.
After the Vy'keen transmitted the data that I need for the ancient bones, I was ordered to return to the space Anomaly to submit the mission's report and receive my rewards. I am so excited.
Then, I returned to the Nexus and received 400 quicksilver and other reward for completed today's mission. Not only I have completed an important mission, I discovered a new system, new planet, new moon, and scanned tons of minerals, flora and fauna while I exploring the unmapped planet. I have so much fun and enjoying every tiny bit of the adventure today.
