Ice cream salon
There are tons of options to buy ice cream of course but the one where they sell yoghurt ice cream has become our favourite pick during a boulevard walk. The salon opened a few weeks ago already but we had not visited it yet as we did less walks on the boulevard this year so far. But the little one was really looking forward to getting a yoghurt ice cream there rather sooner than later.
A Sunday out
Last Sunday, we had a long day visiting two flea markets but when we were close to home, my boyfriend said let's go somewhere else as I don't feel like sitting inside yet. I proposed to add the first ice cream moment to this and have a walk on the boulevard. First we went there so that our daughter was satisfied, lol.
Walk to the harbour
I suddenly remembered that sometimes there's a craft market on Sunday so we decided to walk to the harbour. The market was already over but we ended up finding a table at the Belgian restaurant to sit and my boyfriend had his favourite beer, while we all enjoyed some meat croquets aka bitterballen.
The perfect spot
We were happy to hear they are open again from midday to evening because this means it's not as packed and we can be more spontaneously going there such as we did that day. Tourist season is definitely here and it's noticeable everywhere. Parking becomes harder and I'm grateful that we have our inside parking spot because if we have to, walking to the harbour is possible. It's just not pleasant when it's 35 degrees, lol. For now, it's still very doable and a good walk.
Reflecting on a nice day out
Our daughter played some games on the phone while we reflected on the day as it was a good day with great weather. We enjoyed a drink and some snacks to replace that day's regular dinner because we already had a good lunch earlier as well.

That sounds like it was a nice day! Your daughter's ice cream sure looks good and well as the bitterballen. I've never tried them before, I'll have to make a point to find someplace around here that makes them!

I don't know where you could eat them over there but here in Spain there are a lot of Dutch people living here in winter as well as year round so it's not that strange more and more restaurants serve them .. They should be fried well and crispy on the outside, so nice :)

Very cool! There are so many ethnic restaurants around here than I'm sure there is a Dutch one somewhere!

Otherwise Belgium could work too as the ones where we find these snacks here (at our coast area that is) are all Belgium restaurants. We share some snack habits haha. Not all but some.. But in other coastal areas here in Spain you'd find many Dutch bars and restaurants for sure as they're packed with Dutch expats..

Oh croquetas by the harbour! Sounds great! This time of the year comes along with plenty great things, we gotta a stick to the nice ones and enjoy while we can. Have a nice weekend!!
