There's Light At The End of The Tunnel

Yesterday, I posted an article titled Dystopias, which received little attention, discussing once again CBDCs, social credit scores, and digital IDs. The future we once considered dystopian is now on the brink of becoming a reality. My hope is that we can avoid living in such a suffocating world (we've all witnessed the horrors of the pandemic).

As mentioned in the aforementioned post, I don't believe the elites will succeed in their plans. However, we must remain vigilant and not wait until the last minute to protest against these draconian measures.

A few months ago, Ron DeSantis signed a bill prohibiting the implementation of any CBDC in the state of Florida. This is a bullish move and not surprising coming from a leader like DeSantis. He truly stands out among the crowd.

Now, it's Alabama's turn to follow in DeSantis' footsteps and take a stand against CBDCs. Alabama Governor Kay Ivey recently signed a bill into law that pushes back against CBDCs, creating roadblocks on the path to implementing a digital dollar.

Sen. Dan Roberts sponsored SB330. The new law prohibits government agencies in Alabama from accepting a CBDC as payment and bars the state from participating in any testing of a CBDC by the Federal Reserve.

The bill defines a CBDC as, “A digital currency, a digital medium of exchange, or a digital monetary unit of account issued by the United States Federal Reserve System or a federal agency which is made directly available to a consumer by such entities.”

The Senate passed SB330 by a 32-0 vote. The House approved the measure by a 103-0 vote. With Gov Ivey’s signature on July 16, the law will go into effect Sept. 1.

One might ask why we have to pay that much attention to what the US does. Well, it's because when the US farts, the EU is usually shitting its pants.

The US is having presidential elections next year and Robert F. Kenedy, the nephew of the famous JFK who was killed by the CIA is one of the candidates. Robert is advocating the right of people to own Bitcoin and he's also an anti-CBDC libertarian.

Bitcoin is going to be leveraged a lot in the elections campaign of 2024 in the US and this even will imo play an important role in the upcoming parabolic run for BTC.

I will make sure that we have policies that support bitcoin and the freedom to transact and that allow individuals to manage their own bitcoin wallets, nodes, and passwords. I will allow only the narrowest controls that are necessary to prevent money laundering. I oppose central bank digital currencies because they are instruments of control and oppression, and are certain to be abused.

There's light at the end of the tunnel for us libertarians and the fight is clearly not over yet. Cryptocurrency is going to play a major role in the way the society will function in the decades to come, you sould know that you're very lucky to be in it already.

That's about it for now from my side, I wish you all a great day ahead and see you next time.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

One of the things that I can say when I drop a comment on your posts, is that I usually get 3-4 word responses in return. Maybe you’re just gruff but if someone leaves a fairly thoughtful comment, it would behoove you to put a bit more effort into it. Lately I only selfishly get the curation rewards from your posts because I dislike the engagement I get. Throwing you a bone here, not expecting much.

I didn’t hear RFK’s crypto stance but I like it, and good news on the Alabama stuff. Glad some of the states are standing up to the draconian psychos. Let’s hope we can get some of the northern states to have a spine, not just the southern ones.

RFK has been vocal about BTC since he announced he's going for the chair. He's also been an anti draconian measures of the pandemic. Been following him for a few years.
