Traveling is one of the best things to do with family and loved ones. Nothing compares to the joy of being able to travel every once in a while, to see new places, discover new culture and meet new people.

Just recently, me, my partner and my son went to Cebu City. From our hometown, it is a three-hour drive.
My son had no more face-to-face classes therefore he decided to come with us to the city for a little break.

Here in the Philippines, some provinces still remained on modular way of learning. That is why students can still freely learn wherever they may be.

Since the drive from our hometown Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu going to Cebu City proper is quite a long one, we decided to stop over at Catmon for some refreshments.

Catmon is a municipality located in northern Cebu City, Philippines. It is like the middle municipality of our town and the city proper.

We passed by this store selling cold coconut juice, pineapple, watermelon, sweet corn, and vinegar. The store is just located near the highway which is very accessible for motorists.

Aside from wanting to quench our thirst, it was a perfect way to stretch our backs and our butts after hours of traveling.

When seeing refreshments like these, I always love to stop by and buy because I find this way better than drinking soda. As much as possible, we are decreasing our sugar-intake.

My son sipped into the cold coconut juice that he loved since it was so creamy and cold that it indeed quenched his thirst.

It is his first time traveling from our hometown going to Cebu City. The normal travel time is around 3 hours and a half in a moderate speed of travel.

He told me his butt and his back hurt so he went for some stretching and felt a lot better after doing so.

Upon walking around, I noticed the store also sells vinegar.

This is homemade vinegar priced at 100 pesos for the large bottle and 50 pesos for the smaller one.

I love to use these types of vinegar when cooking rather than those sold in department stores because these are more fresh.

The municipality of Catmon is known for selling vinegars along the road also the famous Filipino snack “bibingka”, which we were not able to buy because I am not such a fan of eating it.

After my son drank his coconut juice, he also bought some sweet corn.

This cheesy sweet corn snack is a combination of sweet corn, condensed milk, and cheese. My son loves this so much because he often buys this at his school.

After a few minutes of hanging around, we decided to continue hitting the road. But first, we struck a pose.
