When I'm walking with my head in the clouds I get the urge to sneeze
Dreams tickle my ears, play on my nose
I reach for the stars and burn my fingers
I close my eyes and pretend the world is good
I stumble to the curb of my plans.
I smash my nose against the pavement of illusions
I sit on the cold ground of reality
The sun comes out, I squint my eyes
I didn't like the shape of my nose anyway.
Time to sow and a time to reap
And there is another important aspect:
Cycle
I like how things, activities have a beginning, a middle and an the end. Unfinished sentences melting my brain like acid. Postponed plans keep me awake. Unfulfilled promises come back like a boomerang.
I like to tick things off. I like to make lists and cross off more items.
This is why I keep trying to grow something, even though the climate here is not propitious to it:) Plants repay me for the hard work I put into looking after them. They do more than that:)
And you can tick stuff off.
Sowing/planting, growing/flowering, harvesting.
GroundWork
Many of us - myself included - spend huge chunk of our time online. Many of us work from home on a computer, we use computers in offices, we sit with our noses in our phones on a daily basis. When we are chronically 'plugged in' - it is very easy to lose touch with reality. Time passes in uneven intervals as we explore the nooks and crannies of the internet. Even when we spend that time reading articles or searching for new music - we stare at the screen for hours.
It's worth abandoning the web from time to time in favour of something we can touch. Scale the weight, feel the texture, smell it.
I like drawing(for those who have seen my posts to a rather obvious statement ;D), writing by hand with a quill, folding clothes, cutting hair, cooking....
I like the fact that my hands are shaping something, changing form. It gives me a sense of purpose.
And life then isn't so scary... for a while.

That's a nice setup you have there. And an even nicer harvest! So, what's on the menu?
Thank you:)
We had dinner today with steamed potato's:) To be fair, we have those for maybe 5-6 more dinners, but I am happy about it anyway:)

Those potatoes look really yummmy. I'm certain you've used it to prepare a meal as "cooking" was added to the list of things you like to do:)
Looking at your garden setup reminds me that for about two months, I've been stacking egg shells for my garden but whenever I get "plugged in", visiting the garden always skips my memory.
First dinner - check!
Yeah, they are really good. Although I want them to taste different than from the store - I would probably could not point the difference :D But really nice to eat something that I know has 0 pesticides and other crap:)
Yeah, I enjoy cooking @wongi:) Although when you do this everyday - it's kind of loses some of the magic & alchemy aspect of it:)
I am doing this constantly. Collecting eggshells, used coffee grounds and tea leaves... What would you have in your garden?
Plus I was making the spray out of grapefruit peels - it helped to get rid of aphids. They nearly eat my potato's! I really didn't want to use any chemical means, so I started to read about 'home made' aphid repellents. I was trying to do one with garlic - but didn't helped much and I am pretty sure my neighbour hates me becouse of that :D But grapefruit peels helped plenty!
This part I can totally relate with 😅.
I mostly plant waterleaves and scent leaves. we use then regularly to make dishes around here.
oh this is lovely. I'm definitely going to try this out if the aphids return:) Thank you.
I don't think I ever heard about waterleaves. Have to explore that more:)
Thank you for popping by!
These are from my garden. They are basically used as leaf tenderizers.
You can do more research on it:)
That looks yummy! Thank you:)

Have a good one too:)
I just licked my lips!
Jealous.... but enjoy 😁
Thnak you :) We have to be smart about it though, there are not very many of them :D
I am guessing - 5-6 more dinners, and then all gone:( Back to store-bought potatoes :D
Aww. I wanna try planting potatoes too and this post makes me desire it some more.
I'm so amazed by the depth of your words, I can never get used to it.
You're awesome! 😍
💛Made my way here through #dreemport. #Dreemerforlife
Yeah, wasn't easy though :D Many pests have tried to get to them, hence - the net. I am glad we were able to harvest at least some of those:)))
So glad you like my writing, and that you see some depth within them:)
Thank you for your visit!

Firstly I want to say something about how you started this post. I am really impressed with the way how you started this. I liked it.
After reading and watching the pictures I acknowledge that you also love to plant trees besides drawing. I also love to plant trees and I do it when I visit my village.
Thank you very much @intishar:)
Becouse I live in the city I don't really have much space to grow my own vegetables, but I am trying my best.
What kind of trees?
Flower and vegetable.
This was a joy to read; I also find a lot of value in working in the dirt. I believe that it changes us in some small way, allowing us to grow with what we plant. 💚
I am glad we are thinking alike. I very much like this
I actually feel this way:)
That feeling of nature! It brings you back to earth no matter how busy you are online.
I must commend the way you write. It's amazing 😍. Your diction expresses just exactly how you feel while writing.
You've worked so hard for your potatoes, now it's time to reap what you sowed.

Nature is the healthiest escape I would say:)
Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I'm glad it didn't disappoint:)

I agree totally with this. I have a small garden where I do cultivate and I do go there sometimes to release stress and boredom. It's always a relief.

Nice I tried to start seeds this year the weather caused me to have to move it inside as it was cold earlier this year. Our cats were helpful in breaking into the green house and eating the baby plants..
