I was a teenager when a friend of mine introduced me to a movie titled, BEST FRIENDS IN THE WORLD.
The movie was so intriguing that I would leave my food and other things I was expected to do just to watch it. The movie is all about some friends and how they cared so much about themselves. They loved doing everything together and shared a lot in common - their friendship to me, was perfect.
The main character in the story is a girl called Olive. She has so beautiful eyes and voice and was loved and admired my almost everyone in school. Though, most people felt she was too proud, I felt she was so humble.
She stole my heart. Her grace, intelligence, and her strength drew me in and right from the beginning, I found myself rooting for her.
Her pain was literally mine and her joy, I felt. When she faced challenges in school or when her friends wanted to desert her, I found myself on the edge of my seat, and each time she won, I felt a sense of pride. I was seriously rooting for her.
Through her strength, I found myself reflecting on my relationship with my best friend. I found out that there was more to being a best friend. Best friends always gat each other's back, regardless.
I imagined myself in Olive's class, surrounded by my classmates. I imagined myself coming out with high scores. I imagined myself walking along with Adam, her childhood friend, or Esther.
Upon arriving at her room, I'm greeted with the beauty of colour pink in her room - the bed, the big teddy bear, the beautiful wears, the freedom! The delicious food! I imagined my classmates gathered in my house, watching a movie and eating popcorns.
I imagined myself going out in the evenings with my friends just to have a drink and listen to soft music played by David and his team.
Like Olive, I imagined myself having a sense of purpose and belonging, knowing that I am something greater than what others may see.
I'm inspired by Olive's selflessness and compassion and I am striving so hard to emulate her examples in my life and that of other teenagers around me.

A lovely one indeed @ministeringpen23. Friends are meant to stand for each other, in bad and good time. It’d really hard sometimes to have good friends around us but we must keep trying.
