Breaking the boundaries of Reality with Virtual Identity.

in Reflections16 days ago

At times when most of us spend maximum times on internet, especially on differrnt social media platform, It becomes an issue to maintain our privacy. To protect our real identity we often keep a separate identity for ourself. We have our own name, photo and other details that may be true or not. Infact we lived a econdary life which exists only in virtual world. It depends upon the user to disclose the real facts or present their fake details. Some may appear and show up their face while some prefer to hide. All of us have the right to keep the privacy. And we all are free to choose our own preference for our virtual identity.

A virtual identity, or online identity, is a social identity that a person presents in virtual communities and computer mediated communication. It can be a representation of a person's physical identity in the virtual world. I respect people privacy and their prefernce. The other day i was asking a #hive user for the photograph. However she choose not to share her photographs. She shared some amazing content but never discloses her face. On the other hand, I like to share my picture on #hive. It may be good or may backfire, but the personal privacy alwsys matters. Virtual identities can be very different from the user's real identity. For example, a user's virtual identity in an online role playing game may be almost completely different from their real identity.

Privacy choices.

Each one of us must respect each other privacy and respect their existence. It is all upto us to know what to share and what not to share. There are many users who goes all out in sharing each and everything about their private life. From family outing, to family function to private details. They seems to be OK and does not find any issue. They lived by their choices. Sometime it happen that by pretending to be differrnt, we used to forget our real identity. It happens once that instead of telling my real names, I ended up calling with my virtual hive name. It was one of the awkward moment in begining of my hive journey. I think such incident may happen to other too. People does that and they started living their virtual life as real self. It is hard to get back their original self once they get deep into their virtual identity. This makes it important to bridge a gap between the two world.

Internet world is alwsys vulnerable to hackers and whisking. There were many incidents of frauds and cyber crime over real identity. This makes virtual identity a cover up for the real identity. People find it safe in virtual identity, but hackers are too smarter to outclass us and make our identity exposed. As far as sharing persinal stuffs over internet is concerned. I belive it is solely on user discretion.

What is the reality and what is the illusion I wonder sometimes?

Figure it our and let me know too...

Sometimes it is difficult not to cross the boundary that defines your personal self in both places: in your reality and in your virtual space, ultimately we are the same but not everyone is willing to show the face and the true motives of acting in one place or the other, the mind is better activated with what may or may not be.

Is it easier to show your soul than your face?
In the end, it is true, we have the right to keep our privacy the way we would want and show ourselves virtually the way we would really like to be seen.

Naw. I am who I am. I am not important enough to hide nor wealthy enough to rob. Lol

Hahaha...it not about hive but it is better to have a separate identity in my knowledge

What if you were a musician or a writer?

Respect for others and above all for privacy is very important, everyone decides whether they want to expose themselves or not and others should respect that. The internet world is... complicated

I know and I respect...hope u understand whom.i am referring too...

I know, I know very well!
