A Different Taste From Cong Ca Phe

Hello everyone,
How are you all? I hope you are well and doing whatever makes you happy. You know that I really like coffee, passion in that field and it makes me very happy. Just like every human being must like one area, I like coffee in such a way.

One of my reasons for going to Vietnam was to be very curious about their coffee. Surely you have heard the story that Vietnam is famous for its coffee. Vietnamese Robusta is very famous, even in all corners of the world. But, it turns out that it's not just robusta, they also have arabica which is really good to try.

Uniquely, in every coffee shop, they have a very large coffee menu. I never even knew about that menu before. The menu is very foreign but it is very appetizing, how Vietnamese coffee tastes really makes me curious.

Because this is a tourist destination, so definitely try something you've never tried before, right? You will also be very curious if you don't try it. This time I tried something on the menu that I had never heard of before. There are 2 types of menu, one my wife's and one mine. The menu is in a small bar right on the first floor. This café was packed and incredibly crowded with lots of people.

I ordered bac xiu (white coffee) and cot dua ca phe (coconut coffee). This white coffee seems to be made from espresso mixed with UHT milk mixed with several condensed milks, but for coconut coffee, this is very different. There is a special blend of coconut water which is mixed and combined with 1 shot of condensed milk and also espresso, then topped with foam made from shaken milk. It was very interesting and tasted like it had some sweetness but not too sweet. There is something different about the taste of the coffee that reminds me of the taste of sugar palm.

I think cafes like this are very popular with Vietnamese people. All merchants with the name of this coffee shop are always busy with visitors. Actually, I didn't come here on purpose, because there was a problem on our way here. We intended to stop at the pink church right in front of this coffee shop, but unfortunately it was closed and we could only enjoy the view of the church from the coffee shop.

One of the other unique things is that the employees, baristas and everyone who works at Cong Ca Phe have unique special uniforms, they wear very different war era army clothes and that makes it a special attraction. Army green clothes and hats of the same color are worn by all the employees and I really like this concept. I felt like I was very honored to be served coffee from a veteran.

This coffee shop is very crowded, every table and chair is only a short distance away. It's crowded but the room is very comfortable. some special designs are like being in an old wooden house and this is very old. I felt like I was in Vietnam in 1940. It was so incredibly different and most cafes definitely weren't like this.

Cong ca phe is a very large merchant because there are so many branches around. I even saw several places and they were really very busy with local residents and foreign tourists. Maybe many people really like the concept which is different from the others. Everyone must think the same.

thankyou😍

You were lucky that chance led you to that special coffee shop. I really enjoyed your post and it made me curious to know more about Vietnamese coffee drinking customs.
The church is very beautiful.
I will ask a question, because curiosity kills me: why are there books locked behind bars? Is it something ornamental? I will be enormously grateful to you.
It was a pleasure to read you, @isdarmady .

It seems like it's just a design for a cafe concept that is more like a prison or a slightly cruel past.

What an amazing place...if I had it nearby I would live in this coffee shop...I loved it. Thanks for taking us for a ride.

💜☕

My pleasure, dear👍
