Hello anime fans. Nearing the middle of the year, I have decided to bring out a special Tops section (as I like to do them so much) of the best anime of the past year 2023 that I have seen and that I have liked a lot. These lists will be classified by different genres, among them the Isekai, which is very different from the Fantasy genre, which I will also bring you its respective top. As I see that you like my tops very much, I will make the effort to bring you several in the following weeks, starting today.
As you can already imagine, these tops I do I rank them from the worst to the best of the list, according to their genre, giving it a rating between 1 to 10. Remember that it is my personal opinion that I will leave in this list, so I hope you agree with my words or, if not, leave your opinions in the comments.
SPANISH VERSION
Hola fanáticos del anime. Ya cerca de mitad de año, he decidido sacar una sección especial de Tops (como tanto me gustan hacerlos) de los mejores animes del pasado año 2023 que he visto y que me han gustado mucho. Estas listas estarán clasificadas por distintos géneros, entre ellos el Isekai, el cual es muy distinto al género de Fantasía, el cual también les traeré su respectivo top. Como veo que a ustedes les gustan mucho mis tops, haré el esfuerzo para traer varios en las siguientes semanas, a partir de hoy.
Como ya se pueden imaginar, estos tops que hago los clasifico desde el peor hasta el mejor de la lista, según su género, dándole una valoración entre el 1 al 10. Recuerden que es mi opinión personal la que dejaré en esta lista, así que espero que estén de acuerdo con mis palabras o, sino, dejen sus opiniones en los comentarios.
Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e Kayou - Season 2
Let's start with the second season (this list is full of pure second and third seasons, yes) of one of the most popular Isekais of last year. However, given the great competition it has had with giants like the ones we will see in the following posts, this one has particular details that made it go somewhat unnoticed among many others. However, its success is such that the second part of its second season is currently being broadcasted.
In this season we will see how the adventures of the reincarnated Demon King continue while we witness the threat of another false Demon King who seeks to deceive the students and the rest of the town with his words and actions. This new enemy has a dark origin, which will bring back memories of our protagonist's past, which he will relive by going back in time as he meets some of his old friends and we meet one of the most emotional stories of the entire saga.
Demon Kings, Dark Magic, Time Travel, Battles between Angels and Demons and a story of love and betrayal are some of the things you will see from this Isekai. While I'm not a big fan of super powerful and invincible protagonists, the fact that in this case it's not the Hero, but the villain who takes the leading role is a detail that caught my attention from the beginning. And, while it doesn't compare to the first season, the stories we enjoy in this second season are very worthwhile.
Personally, I give it an 8/10 rating as far as the Isekai genre is concerned.

Empecemos con la segunda temporada (esta lista está repleta de puras segundas y terceras temporadas, si) de uno de los Isekais más populares del año pasado. Sin embargo, contando con la gran competencia que ha tenido con gigantes como los que veremos en los siguientes puestos, este tiene detalles particulares que hizo que pasara un tanto desapercibido de entre muchos otros. Sin embargo, su éxito es tal, que actualmente se está emitiendo la segunda parte de su segunda temporada.
En esta temporada veremos cómo las aventuras de Rey Demonio reencarnado continúan mientras presenciamos la amenaza de otro Rey Demonio falso que busca engañar a los estudiantes y al resto del pueblo con sus palabras y acciones. Este nuevo enemigo tiene un origen oscuro, el cual le traerá recuerdos del pasado de nuestro protagonista, el cual él revivirá retrocediendo mientras se encuentra con algunos de sus viejos amigos y conocemos una de las historias más emotivas de toda la saga.
Reyes Demonio, Magia Oscura, Viajes en el Tiempo, Batallas entre Ángeles y Demonios y una historia de amor y traición son algunas de las cosas que verán de este Isekai. Si bien no soy muy fan de los protagonistas súper poderosos e invencibles, el hecho de que en este caso no es el Héroe, sino el villano quien toma el papel de protagonismo es un detalle que me llamó la atención desde el principio. Y, si bien no se compara con la primera temporada, las historias que disfrutamos en esta segunda temporada merecen mucho la pena.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8/10 en lo que respecta al género Isekai.
Saihate no Paladin: Tetsusabi no Yama no Ou
The second season of our favorite Paladin takes the next place as it contains elements and gives us the continuation of one of the best stories that the Isekai genre can tell us. While it doesn't focus on an invincible protagonist, he has gifts and abilities that stand out quite a bit. However, this is not what we will see in this sequel, since the development that he has, along with the other characters and the story he tells us, make this anime one of the best in its genre.
The Paladin and owner of a small town in reconstruction begins a new adventure with his team, which will lead them to face a great threat, since this time our protagonist will have to face a great red dragon to save his town from destruction. For this, he will have to train together with his team, among them a prince of a nation that is exiled because of the Demon King's army. Their future looks a bit tortuous, but together they will decide to face it with the blessing of the Goddess of Lights.
In this case we see neither demon kings nor magicians nor super-powerful beings. What we are going to see is the continuation of a story of a Paladin who got that position by his own efforts, in addition to the blessing of the Goddess he serves. However, the story continues and we can see how this team of adventurers face much greater difficulties and threats. The demonstration of courage, teamwork and the tremendous development possessed by both the protagonist and the other main characters is wonderful.
Personally, I give it a rating of 8.5/10 as far as the Isekai genre is concerned.

La segunda temporada de nuestro Paladín favorito ocupa el siguiente puesto ya que contiene elementos y nos da la continuación de una de las mejores historias que el género Isekai nos puede contar. Si bien no se centra en un protagonista invencible, este tiene dotes y habilidades que resaltan bastante. Sin embargo, esto no es lo que veremos en esta secuela, ya que el desarrollo que este tiene, justo con los demás personajes y la historia que nos cuenta, hacen de este anime de los mejores de su género.
El Paladín y dueño de una pequeña ciudad en reconstrucción empieza una nueva aventura con su equipo, la cual los llevará a enfrentarse a una gran amenaza, ya que esta vez nuestro protagonista se tendrá que enfrentar a un gran dragón rojo para así salvar a su pueblo de la destrucción. Para esto, él tendrá que entrenar junto con su equipo, entre ellos un príncipe de una nación que se encuentra exiliada por culpa del ejército del Rey Demonio. Su futuro se ve un poco tortuoso, pero juntos decidirán enfrentarse con la bendición de la Diosa de la Luces.
En este caso no vemos ni reyes demonio ni magos ni seres superpoderosos. Lo que vamos a ver es la continuación de una historia de un Paladín que consiguió dicho puesto por su propia esfuerzo, amén de la bendición de la Diosa a la que le sirve. Sin embargo, la historia continúa y podemos ver cómo este equipo de aventureros se enfrentan a dificultades y amenazas mucho más grandes. La demostración de valor, trabajo en equipo y el tremendo desarrollo que posee tanto el protagonista como los demás personajes principales es maravilloso.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta al género Isekai.
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari - Season 3
The third season of the famous anime of the Hero of the Shield greets us in this post, and after the huge fiasco that was for many the previous season, this last one managed to redeem itself with a much better animation, as well as an excellent soundtrack and opening. Not to mention that the story of our famous hero continues with more adventures and impressive battles.
While waiting for the next wave of interdimensional monsters that seek to end the world, our Hero of the Shield works to maintain his small town where semi-humans and orphans who have bought their freedom live. However, the other three heroes who were sent with him to this fantasy world are lost and divided after their failure in the last battle. Our protagonist will have to save them all from the darkness while meeting new adventure companions.
While this Isekai managed to be one of the best of its kind when the first season aired, with the second season there were many who criticized it and were very displeased with the animation. But, this last season redeemed itself quite well, with a very high quality animation and effects that can be quite enjoyed in the different battles it has. Also, the story and the development of some characters are very well done, understanding little by little this world and hooking us more with adventures and many trials.
Personally, I give it a 9/10 rating as far as the Isekai genre is concerned.

La tercera temporada del famoso anime del Héroe del Escudo nos saluda en este puesto, y es que, luego del enorme fiasco que fue para muchos la temporada anterior, en esta última logró redimirse con una animación mucho mejor hecha, amén de una excelente banda sonora y opening. Esto, sin contar que la historia de nuestro famoso héroe continúa con más aventuras y batallas impresionantes.
Mientras esperan la siguiente ola de monstruos interdimensionales que buscan acabar con el mundo, nuestro Héroe del Escudo trabaja en mantener su pequeño pueblo donde habitan semihumanos y huérfanos que han comprado su libertad. Sin embargo, los otros tres héroes que fueron enviados junto con él a este mundo de fantasía se encuentran perdidos y divididos luego sel fracaso que tuvieron en la última batalla. Nuestro protagonista tendrá que salvarlos a todos de la oscuridad mientras conoce a nuevos compañeros de aventura.
Si bien este Isekai logró ser uno de los mejores de su tipo cuando se emitió la primera temporada, con la segunda hubieron muchos que la criticaron y estuvieron muy disgustados con la animación. Pero, está última temporada se redimió bastante bien, con una animación de muy alta calidad y efectos que se pueden disfrutar bastante en las distintas batallas que este tiene. También, la historia y el desarrollo de algunos personajes están muy bien hechos, entendiendo poco a poco este mundo y enganchándonos más con aventuras y muchas pruebas.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9/10 en lo que respecta al género Isekai.
Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu (Part 01)
We enter the final stretch with the best of the best, one of the best Isekais that the world of animation has ever seen returns with its second season. The first part, which broke the internet at the time with moments that many expected to see, made it become one of the most watched anime of last year. With a spectacular animation (but that does not surpass the first season) and many adventures, this anime manages to position itself in second place.
Rudeus, our favorite protagonist grows up and in his adolescence manages to take good care of his physique while performing various missions as an adventurer, thus making a name for himself among the guild. While he joins a team, his personal problems overwhelm him and alienate him from society while he develops some insecurity due to some difficulties he has that are consequences of a trauma he had after his "first time". While he searches for the cure of his "illness" his adventures continue in a special school for exceptional people like him.
This is one of the anime I like the most for its story, characters and multiple battles and adventures. While the protagonist has a charm to be the most hated of the whole genre, in this second season we can see, under his point of view, his slow but progressive development, which still has a long way to go, even now with the airing of the second part of this second season. Likewise, I really enjoyed watching the growth and development of some characters that include quite a lot, as well as unforgettable moments for many.
Personally, I give it a 9.5/10 rating as far as the Isekai genre is concerned.

Entramos a la recta final con lo mejor de lo mejor, uno de los mejores Isekais que ha pisado el mundo de la animación regresa con su segunda temporada. La primera parte, la cual rompió el internet en su momento con momentos que muchos esperaban ver, hizo que se volviera uno de los animes más vistos del año pasado. Con una animación espectacular (pero que no supera a la de la primera temporada) y muchas aventuras, este anime consigue posicionarse en el segundo puesto.
Rudeus, nuestro protagonista favorito crece y en su adolescencia consigue cuidar bien de su físico mientras realiza diversas misiones como aventurero, labrándose así un nombre entre el gremio. Mientras él se une a un equipo, sus problemas personales lo abruman y lo alejan de la sociedad mientras desarrolla cierta inseguridad por algunas dificultades que tiene que son consecuencias de un trauma que tuvo después de su “primera vez”. Mientras él busca la cura de su “enfermedad” sus aventuras continúan en una escuela especial para gente excepcional como él.
Este es uno de los animes que más aprecio le tengo por su historia, sus personajes y sus múltiples batallas y aventuras. Si bien el protagonista tiene un encanto para ser el más odiado de todo el género, en esta segunda temporada podemos ver, bajo su punto de vista, su lento pero progresivo desarrollo, el cual aún le falta mucho por terminar, aún ahora con la emisión de la segunda parte de esta segunda temporada. Igualmente, disfruté mucho de ver el crecimiento y desarrollo de algunos personajes que incluyen bastante, amén de momentos inolvidables para muchos.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9.5/10 en lo que respecta al género Isekai.
The Eminence in Shadow - Season 2
And we finish this top with the best Isekai anime I have seen to date. An anime that ranks among the best of its kind thanks to its animation quality, characters and battles that are completely crazy. If we are talking about super powerful and invincible protagonists, this is the best of all and with good reason. Last 2023 we were able to enjoy its second season, which left us with endless moments and scenes that literally broke the internet.
Our protagonist continues his quest to be "The Eminence in Shadow", but, after the great show he did at the end of the first season, he decides to hide from society and fulfill his goal while his organization gets more and more power among governments, companies and powerful organizations internationally. His influence is becoming more and more notorious in society, while the enemies that seek to dominate or destroy the world will have to face a very powerful opponent.
Impressive battles, levels of power that are absurd to human understanding, enemies that test the supremacy of our protagonist, all this and much more is what we will be able to enjoy in this second season. While we see a hero turned anti-hero, while facing powerful enemies and gaining the mastery and power that will help him achieve his goal, we also have an endless number of scenes full of fanservice and double meaning jokes. However, this does not detract from what is, for me, the best anime of its kind.
Personally, I give it a well-deserved 10/10 rating as far as the Isekai genre is concerned.

Y terminamos este top con el mejor anime Isekai que he visto hasta la fecha. Un anime que se posiciona entre los mejores de su tipo gracias a su calidad de animación, personajes y batallas que son una completa locura. Si de protagonistas súper poderosos e invencibles hablamos, este es el mejor de todos y con mucha razón. El pasado 2023 pudimos disfrutar de su segunda temporada, el cual nos dejó con un sinfín de momentos y escenas que literalmente rompieron el internet.
Nuestro protagonista continúa con su búsqueda de ser “La Eminencia en la Sombra”, pero, luego del gran espectáculo que hizo al final de la primera temporada, este decide esconderse de la sociedad y cumplir con su objetivo mientras su organización consigue más y más poder entre los gobiernos, empresas y organizaciones poderosas a nivel internacional. Su influencia es cada vez más y más notoria en la sociedad, mientras que los enemigos que buscan dominar o destruir el mundo tendrán que enfrentarse con un muy poderoso contrincante.
Batallas impresionantes, niveles de poder que son absurdos para el entendimiento humano, enemigos que ponen a prueba la supremacía de nuestro protagonista, todo esto y mucho más es lo que podremos disfrutar de esta segunda temporada. Mientras vemos a un héroe convertido en antihéroe, a la vez que se enfrenta a enemigos poderosos y consigue tener el dominio y el poder que lo ayudará a cumplir con su objetivo, también tenemos un sinfín de escenas repletas de fanservice y chistes de doble sentido. Sin embargo, esto no le resta valor a lo que es, para mí, el mejor anime de su tipo.
Personalmente, le doy una merecida calificación de 10/10 en lo que respecta al género Isekai.
And so we end with this top, which I really enjoyed writing as it made me remember very good animated works of the Isekai genre that I have seen in the past year. You still have time to take a look and enjoy some of these incredible stories full of adventure, action, fantasy, magic and much more. In the following tops we will continue remembering other anime of 2023 that I have seen and that I highly recommend to take into account, according to their genre.

I still need to watch/finish most of these. Paladin was a surprise for me when I finally watched the first season last year. I also enjoyed part 1 of the Misfit Season 2 but the continuation being delayed and some of Silver Link’s other releases around the same time, I was waiting to finish it. Eminence film is on my PTW.Thanks for the post and glad someone else has interest in all of these.
I am a big fan of Isekai anime. I know that it is a genre that has deteriorated a lot lately with many generic and same animes, but among all of them there is always one that attracts attention for its stories and characters. Right now I'm watching the second part of the second season of Mushoku Tensei, also Maou Gakuin.
This year is also full of good Isekai anime. I think next time I'll have to do a Top 7. 😅 I'm very happy that you like my content. Thanks for the support. 🤗

Mushoku Tensei también es de mis favoritos, la verdad, aunque particularmente tiene momentos de desarrollo un tanto lentos, me fascinan mucho la variedad de personajes bien hechos que tiene, además de su excelente animación y coherencia en ciertos aspectos de la trama y la historia.

De esta lista solo he visto 3, y son los 3 últimos, aunque estaba por dejar The Eminence in Shadow, porque la historia se había perdido en un relleno innecesario, ya luego que termino, mejoro un poco jajaja. Me llamo la atención el del paladín, voy a ver si en unos de estos días lo busco y le doy una oportunidad.

Espero que ese te guste amigo, con respecto a lo que dices de The Eminence un Shadow, no lo sentí así, la verdad. Aunque si admito que esta segunda temporada tuvo uno o dos episodios que fueron solo para meter un montón de fanservice, pero no me quejo por eso. Comparado con otros animes, como Mushoku Tensei que aún en la actualidad sigue en un arco que yo considero es muy lento, este está bien.

jjajajaj nadie se queja del fanservice 🤣, mushuku es un anime con historia lenta, y como está siendo adaptada fiel al manga, toca ver todo los arcos.
Así es, yo tampoco me quejo del fanservice, la verdad, solo pienso que actualmente es un poco lento pero veo que es más por el arco en el que están ahora, ya el siguiente dicen que es una locura. Espero no decepcionarme por tanto HYPE que le están dando. Hasta el momento no me ha defraudado. Lo bueno es eso, que lo están haciendo fiel al manga, cosa que no sucede mucho.

My top 1 here is The Eminence in Shadow. I love how there's a lot of misunderstanding in this anime, but in a good way hahaha. I love the fight scene too, I just feel cringe whenever he say "I am atomic!" Like seriously! Hahahaha.
As for The Rising of Shield Hero, I really like the 1st and 2nd season. But i didn't feel that "like" into the latest season. I got bored on it, to be honest. Same with Mushoku Tensei, I didn't feel the same energy from the first season. I'm still stuck in episode 10 of the latest season of that ಥ‿ಥ.
I already watch the Faraway Paladin first season but I don't have the plan to watch the next one. I actually just force myaelf to finish it ಥ‿ಥ haha. But on the first few episode, I am really invested on it. Dunno why it change halfway (≧▽≦).
I'm glad to know that we have similar opinions about these animes. The Eminence in Shadow is the best I've ever seen and I can say that this second season is the best of all.
Regarding Tate no Yuusha and Mushoku Tensei, I agree. Season 3 of the Shield Hero was a low story, but in terms of animation it improved a lot and we have to admit that. However, Mushoku Tensei in this second season, not much action has been seen since the school arc and the story had a brutal break, but I imagine that it is important for what is to come.
I liked the Paladin a lot, although the second season is not the same as the first, it seems that it focuses on other details such as teamwork and the development and history ol of the prince who accompanies them. The most epic thing was the final battle with the dragon.

I'm not a big fan of Isekai, in fact the only one I've seen is Mushoku Tensei and I have to say that surprisingly I liked it a lot, that fusion between magic and reality and the fact that they always try to leave a teaching is something very cool. Maybe I need to give it more chances and see more things, maybe I'll write down one of these to keep an eye on them.
