Hate- a very strong word that I always try to avoid. It carries a lot of weight and emotions. I understand that “hate” can be an effective way to convey our emotions, etimes, it is important to consider other synonyms or precise words to replace “hate.” Have you ever been in a situation where you can't find a synonym to clearly explain how you're feeling? For example, you do not like doing something, but just because you don't want to use the word “hate” you start going on a journey to thoughtvile, thinking about what word to use to substitute the word “hate.” This is exactly how I always feel when someone asks me how I am holding up with school.
“How’s school?” This question carries a lot of weight. The best answer to this question is “I hate school. It is killing me.” But, because that'd sound too direct, I try to pitch in tiny bits of euphemism. “School is drowning me.” How does that sound? Honestly, I really tried hard enough and I finally settled with this. In my opinion, it is the best phrase to describe how I'm holding up with school. Yes, school is drowning me.
Yesterday, I had a conversation with one of my secondary school friends. We lost connection immediately after graduation, but life brought her my way and she checked up on me on WhatsApp. After exchanging pleasanteries and talking about the good ol’ days, she asked me the big question: how is school treating you? I told her everything; how school is drowning me, assignments, late night reading and all. After hearing all my cries, she told me what I wanted to hear. Maybe not exactly what I wanted to hear, but at that point, her words worked like magic.”“Push harder and be optimistic.” Those were her words. At first, it made me angry, because at that point, I was actually tired of pushing.
Push harder till when? Well, after the conversation, I sat down to think about her words. I started this, so why back off now? First off, I never planned to back up. According to her, I can complain all I want, but I have to keep pushing harder. Yes, I hate school. Who doesn't? The fact that I do not like school and the stress if comes with doesn't mean I should give up. I’m going to keep pushing harder and be optimistic that my hardwork will yield expected results. “Push harder” should be your motto for this year. Whether you are a student, a dad or a mom, or just someone struggling to make ends meet, let's push harder together.
ON ANOTHER NOTE
I almost forgot that today is the first day of the month. My goal is to power up every month throughout this year. I understand that it is not going to be easy, but I'm quite determined to make it happen. It is part of my 2024 goals. For this month, I powered up a total of 20 hive.

This reminds me of my last month in University. Saying this actually feels cringey and funny because I used to write posts like this frequently just venting about how much of a life-sucker school was. I’m glad you’re seeing it the way you do. You can bitch all you want, but ultimately, you keep it pushing.
Don’t worry man. In a year (or however long it is until you graduate), you’ll be replying someone’s post like I am with an opening line very much like my own. Until then, suck up and keep it pushing! You can do this:)
