I cannot say I wasn’t stressed by the process of organization or execution on the day of the conference, but, in my experience, I enjoyed every bit of the way during this time, from getting partners to having late night and evening meets to running a halter shelter to secure and make provision for the hive tech conference. I will like to give my updates and take part in this lovely community.

On March 9, 2024, happening live at the Great Hall at KNUST, Kumasi, the hive conference dabbed the new internet. The conference featured prominent individuals from all spheres of life—academy, technology, entrepreneurship, and blockchain—gathered to impact students and other intellectuals on the advantages, opportunities, and impacts that Hive is making in the lives of individuals and communities.

To mark the event for what it was and where it was taking place, the conference was opened with a cultural display by the special traditional group of dancers we had to grace the conference.

This was followed by a well-embraced group of speakers: Mr. Spencer Korankye, lead consultant at Mpact Lane Consult, as keynote speaker. He made a remarkable introduction that made the room lively for the next group of speakers we were to have come and enlighten us on what we were there for.

The other speakers, Dr. Rose-Mary O. M. Gyening Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, KNUST, spoke about the way blockchain and technology are together changing the landscape of the tech field. Mr. Emmanuel Appiah, C.T.O., C.I.S.O., and D.P.O. of WayaMoney, spoke of the entrepreneurial advantages and opportunities that are being presented as a result of the development of blockchain and what students could do to leverage this new internet of ours. Mr. Joshua Opoku Agyemang, President of the Ghana STEM Network and IoT Network Hub Africa, broke down the concept of blockchain. Explaining the backbone of this new internet of ours.

Killing the Show and introducing the main reason and importance of the conference was our final speaker of the day, Mr. Samuel Boadi @mcsamm , Project Manager-Hive, Builder-Hive blockchain, who spoke about the essence of Hive and the importance of students and stakeholders holding onto the new internet, the opportunities it presents, and how it is changing lives. They also took the students and audience through how they could get on the platforms and communities and make the most of them.

You might be asking by now what I was doing all this time. Well, I was the guy making sure everyone was okay and enjoying the conference. I was working as the technical team lead and executor. I was more than excited to be seated behind the controls and having some conversation with @nattybongo .

That wasn’t all; I was also given the opportunity to give an appreciation speech. I can’t say I nailed it like a professional, but I killed it in my own style. I encouraged the students to adapt Hive, its community platforms, and all other resources as a way to enter this new world of never-ending opportunities. Since we had a lot of Computer Science and Engineering students available, I told them to leverage what Hive provides and build D-Apps and services on the Hive blockchain.

I personally felt more than fulfilled as the conference came to an end. I met new friends and networked with some of the faces I only knew over calls and media feeds. I look forward to more of this in the coming years. I love Hive.
