Matthew 13:4-8 (KJV) And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Our heart is the ground on which the seed is planted. The seed is the word of God. As the MCGI Mass Indoctrination returns on Monday, 20th May, let us prepare our hearts to receive the word of God.
The word of God is the word of God. It will give life to our spirit. Let our hearts be prepared to receive the Word of God as Bro Eli Soriano will be explaining to us the doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ as they are written in the Bible.
Our heart should not be like the Stony Heart which is so hardened such that the word of God cannot penetrate. The stony heart has an underlying stone which stop the word of God from penetrating it.
We should not have a heart which is like the wayside heart. The Wayside Heart is easily accessible to the devil who comes in and steals the word of God that was planted in it. Our heart should not be like the wayside heart.
Let our hearts not be filled with thorns. Let it not be like the thorny heart which has several thorns on it that choke the word of God and kill it. We should clear our hearts of every form of thorn and weed growing in it.
Our hearts should be like the good hearts. The good heart is fertile and productive. It bears fruits unto salvation.
