The church is the household of God. It is the family of God. It was instituted by God. Jesus Christ, our Teacher came from God to teach us the ways of God. These are the commandments and the doctrines of God which we are listening to. Bro Eli Soriano is explaining to us these doctrines of God through the teachings we are listening to.
As members of the household of God, we are to obey the doctrines of God. We are to conduct our lives according to the commandments of God. We cannot claim to belong to God but then disobey the doctrines of God. The church of God is the household of God. We are members of this household. We must obey the doctrines governing our household.
The Doctrine Of Baptism
Matthew 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Baptism is a core doctrine in the church of God. We are to receive baptism after that we have accepted the doctrines and believe in them. Jesus Christ, Himself was baptized. The early church members were baptized. We must receive baptism as our commitment to believing in Jesus Christ.
The Church Gatherings
Hebrews 10:25 (KJV) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Another important aspect of the church doctrines is that we must not neglect the church gatherings. Joining the church is a basic necessity for every member of the house of God.
