¡Feliz fin de semana, amigos! Les comento que ya comenzaron las lluvias aquí en la ciudad, por lo que ahora es un poco más complicado pero a la misma vez más sencillo salir, porque por un lado la lluvia convierte la ciudad en un caos por el mal sistema de alcantarillado además de que la humedad es insoportable; pero por otro lado puedes caminar tranquilamente sin que el sol te esté quemando en cada paso. Así que el día de ayer mi hermana y yo estuvimos lidiando con este cambio en el clima mientras íbamos a hacer algunas diligencias, y en el camino nos topamos con que la feria del libro está en la ciudad y de paso era su última día.

I tell you that the rains have already started here in the city, so now it is a little more complicated but at the same time easier to go out, because on the one hand the rain turns the city into a chaos because of the bad sewage system and the humidity is unbearable; but on the other hand you can walk quietly without the sun burning you at every step. So yesterday my sister and I were dealing with this change in the weather while we were on our way to run some errands, and on the way we found out that the book fair is in town and by the way it was its last day.

Luego, mi hermana quiso hacer una parada en un local de empanadas para desayunar y mientras lo hacía empezó a llover bastante, es por eso que nos tocó quedarnos un buen rato para esperar a que escampara y ese fue el momento en que pasó lo inimaginable....¡Un ratón estaba saltando dentro del local! 🥲 Nosotras gritamos de la impresión, pero nos dio pena hacer un escándalo al respecto, entonces apenas vimos que no llovía tanto salimos huyendo de ese lugar.
Then, my sister wanted to stop at an empanada place to have breakfast and while she was having breakfast it started to rain a lot, that's why we had to stay there for a while to wait for the rain to stop and that was the moment when the unimaginable happened.... A mouse was jumping inside the place! We screamed from the shock, but we were too embarrassed to make a fuss about it, so as soon as we saw that it wasn't raining so much we ran away from the place.

Ya en este punto queríamos terminar la salida visitando una cafetería que está en un lugar algo escondido, pero camino allá nos encontramos con Filven, la feria internacional del libro de Venezuela y no podíamos perder la oportunidad de revisar los stand que participaron. A pesar de que no teníamos pensado hacer un gasto extraordinario, al final cedimos ante una super oferta de 3 libros por $10, ¿No es increíble? Entre las dos los compramos y salimos bien felices de allí, pero a la vez con arrepentimiento por no poder comprar más, sobretodo por el hecho de ayudar a estos emprendedores.
At this point we wanted to finish the outing by visiting a coffee shop that is in a somewhat hidden place, but on our way there we came across Filven, the international book fair and we could not miss the opportunity to check out the booths that participated. Although we didn't plan to spend a lot of money, we finally gave in to a great offer of 3 books for $10, isn't it amazing? Between the two of us we bought them and we left there very happy, but at the same time with regrets for not being able to buy more, especially for the fact of helping these entrepreneurs.

| Para cerrar con la salida llegamos a la cafetería Deco café, ubicada en la Av. Luis del Valle García, porque tienen una promoción de 2 cafés y un pedazo de torta por $5, pero lastimosamente fue un fracaso total. Tenía muchísimo tiempo sin probar una torta tan mala. La masa tenía muchos grumos, estaba seca y hasta mastiqué un pedazo de bicarbonato 🤢Lo único que tenía buen sabor era la cubierta de chocolate, del resto estuvo faltal. De igual forma fue un buen día y ese tropiezo no iba arruinarlo. | To close the outing, we went to the Deco Café, located on Luis del Valle García Avenue, because they have a promotion of 2 coffees and a piece of cake for $5, but unfortunately it was a total failure. It had been a long time since I had tasted such a bad cake. The dough had a lot of lumps, it was dry and I even chewed a piece of baking soda 🤢 The only thing that tasted good was the chocolate coating, the rest was lacking. Anyway it was a good day and that stumble wasn't going to ruin it. |
