Being financially stable is difficult to achieve within one day unless you own lots of assets or you are born from a wealthy family. You don't have to blame situations. Even those people from the upper class still need to educate themselves about finances. A little mismanagement could lead to depletion of assets.

Well, let me share the young professional event that I have attended about financial literacy. It is my first time to join events about financial awareness. The event theme is about "Turning Point to Financial Freedom," that is hosted by Unplgged, a finance coach and advisor. This is a great opportunity to learn basic concepts about money and this event is for free. Sometimes in my spare time, I browse and read tons of posts about financial literacy. I'm technically a student but as early as now, I want to be educated enough about handling my expenses. Espescially the principle of, let your money work for you.

I thought I won't be able to join in this event since we have a class. Luckily, we made it to the event. I was with my classmate during that time. When we arrive on the event place, they're already doing a sort of engaging activity about knowing each other.

It just has started and we are a bit of hesitant to seat because as we can see, the people in this event are employees or anyone with a working job.The organizers chose to include the 3rd and 4th year college students but there are only few of us during that time. I appreciate that they choose to consider inviting students in this financial literacy awareness.

Sorry if the slides are not clear. The texts in the slides are, "Money is the root of evil," and "What is money?" Well, we are quite so familiar with the saying, "Money is the root of evil." I agree with that. When people have a lot of money on their hands, they can do anything they want and they become so indulgent on buying different things. On the opposite side, without money, it is so extremely tough to live in this material world we are living. So, money plays a big role in our lives and it can change our directions.

I was with these beautiful ladies.

They served us with free hot coffee and sandwich during the night.

I like this slide. Money may seem like a passport to all of our dreams in life but it cannot give you everything. These are what money can't buy: manners, morals, respect, character, common sense, trust, patience, class, integrity, and love. All of these are unconditional which is what money isn't.

I want to share another slide during our lectures. Do you want to get rich quick? I think you must consider the consequences of becoming instantly one. Maybe you wouldn't value and appreciate the importance of having enough and more than enough. Anyway, this question is very much relatable to those people who are willing to bite the baits from those fraudulent scammers anywhere. My piece of cents for this is that don't aim to become rich but aim to live a life without financial constraints.

Most of all, this is very important. Always stay humble. Your character is defined based on how you act during your high and low times.

The guest speaker received a token of appreciation for sharing his knowledge about financial literacy by the church pastor. It was a great night and there are a few people who have shared their financial burden.

We are also given an e-certificate for attending the event through scanning the the QR code they shared.

I don't know if you can even see me in this group photo. The night is wrapped up and the event is a success. I have learned so many things just by attending this one event and it's valuable knowledge to be educated about financial matters. The people there are so open to talk about improving their finances and one day, I will be applying what I have learned. I believe that we don't need to be born of rich or to be even become rich just to be financially independent, but I believe it is through educating ourselves on how much we spend.

These types of seminars must be the priority to be taught especially to the younger generation so that they will be financially responsible given at a young age, it will help reduce poverty and help people be responsible money-handlers. ☺︎☺︎☺︎

Exactly. Especially in these times na madami ang online budol like shopee sales and Tiktok hahahah add to cart agad basta patok. It's a red-flag in terms of financial goal.

Financial dependency is something that has to be controlled by most of us. I particularly like the slide on what money can't buy. Oh btw your right it's hard to spot you in last photo but I think I found you on left side 2nd row, hehe! Good to see you here again!

Indeed. Some jobs sucks and prices are driving high. Anyway, did you zoom the photo? I can't even find myself clearly hahahah. I'm happy to be back here again, our summer break will start this June. 😊

😂 I did but I'm not 100% sure. I think it's just your face shown in picture. Found your classmates and assumed you would be near them. Am I correct? Hehe

Yes, I was with my classmate. You're right 😂
