Hello it’s me @itslovelykate, a girl who has a pretty smile, long black hair, and also has a cute height. I’m 4’11 and my zodiac sign is Scorpio. Okay, you can call me ‘kit” Kit is my nickname which is my grandma named that for me because of her favorite movie.
I am now 17 years old. Living in the northern part of Cebu. I’m currently studying in Ilihan Integrated School as a graduating Senior High School.
Challenges I’ve encountered
Self-Doubt
Back when In my elementary days, I’ve been feeling insecure of my classmates because they were so smart also they are active in sports and events in our school they grab the opportunity to learn and they even go to district to defend our school.
And then there's me sitting in the corner of our room thinking that I wish I could be like them. I’ve been so shy back then I don’t have the courage to participate in any events, even in sports because I got scared If I failed, I valued what people think of me in that time.
I think that I’m not capable of anything, I’ve been just watching them and not doing anything. This mental state of mine is still in my middle school, but when I entered the Senior High School years, my perception changed a lot. I’ve realized that too much insecure can lead to lack of confidence.
It's important to remember that we have our own uniqueness and we can shine better than them, instead of comparing ourselves to others and trying to be the best. We should focus for the best version of ourselves.
Losing my confidence
When the pandemic hit, I found myself drain by the insecurities about my appearance and my body weight and starting comparing myself to others. Their beauty is seems to be effortless while me I’m trying hard to look good.
When I look at myself in the mirror my tears fall down in my face feeling so insecure about my flaws. It reached to the point where my sister caught me crying and asked me what’s wrong.
As I opened up to her about my insecurities, she advice me that if I continually crying and not doing nothing it would lead me to depression. She said to me the consequences of not just crying but you should take action about it, you should make a difference.
Her advice emotionally affect me rather than staying focused on my insecurities without even trying to make the things better. I decided to exercise. Unexpectedly it helps me to regain my confidence back, slowly appreciating my flaws and accepting it.
I've come to realize that we shouldn't force ourselves to be the girl that we are dreaming of. That kind of thinking can make us feeling depress, because of the pressure we put on ourselves. The fact is that we have our own unique beauty.
The only thing that stops us is that we don't have enough confidence. If we truly find a way for boosting our confidence,by that we could see our own to be as uniquely beautiful as we are.
Hobbies and Likes
I certainly love dogs. Particularly my dog named "Summer", he is my source of happiness, My stress reliever, my comfort in my ups and downs also my listener when I am sad or happy. I am excited to come home because I missed him already, I even slept with him.
Furthermore, I also love doing crochet because my sister influenced me to do it. Crochet helps me to break from technology. The first crochet that I've created is a flower which is I'm so proud of myself that time, so by that I continue to do crochet.
I've tried doing a brallete it’s not perfect but its not bad for beginners like me. I've had so many crochet works,It was like almost 20.Lately I've been thinking that what if, I tried selling my crochet works by that, I can earn money and I can buy what I want.
Additionally, I love gardening because it connects me with nature. I found comfort in gardening, by doing gardening I interact with the plants, and watch them grow. This connection with nature it helps me to break from using my cellphone.
I am so happy if I can harvest the plants that I've been planting.The tireless moments that I give into planting them,the sweat of mine,the moments that I've been watering my plants has been paid off.
Gardening was a great help for me to be more active in outdoor activity in the morning I went to our garden and water them..
I also have a deep love for sunsets. It gives me happiness. Watching sun go down it feels sentimental, remembering good times from my past. It makes me think how time flies so fast and how moments don’t last forever.
It’s a natural triumph that captivate my sense and it help me to escape from the busy lives of mine. It help me to connect to the world and remind me that cherish every moment instead thinking about what comes next.
Lastly, I love photography, It's my hobby. I enjoy capturing moments in my camera. It could be our moments with my family bonding with my friends.
Photos help me remember the good memories. Its like my diary of my lives. Capturing picture helps me to express my imagination, looking at my pictures it makes me feel good, bringing feelings we had at that moment. Its like a nostalgic feeling.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM MY BLOG/WHO INTRODUCED HIVE TO ME?
My blog is going to be all about sort of stuff, like my journey in this world, my hobby in photography, also my passion for gardening. I’ll share about the things that I've been going through now and what would happen in the future. Also how I overcome with my problems. We can't predict what our future's might be, so I always enjoy every moment of my life because we only live once.
I didn’t know how would this work but my teacher @callmesmile introduce me this community. Its really a great help for me to excel my writing. I appreciate @callmesmile believe in my capability and trusting that I can do this things. I am so honored that I’m part of this community.
Additionally I want to give thanks to @ybanezkim26, @indayclara for teaching us all about the HIVE BLOCKCHAIN. They showed us the do’s and don’ts and the benefits of being part of the hive.
It was such a great opportunity to us students to share our knowledge and be part of this. They made it easier for us to understand what’s the hive is all about.Their advice gave us opportunity to explore and express ourselves in the world of HIVE.

Ang price mag vary siya sa type na crochet work ma'am if flowers 150/200 gi bouquet nana maam if brallete mga 350/400 ako ra gisuon sa ako ate nga pricing ma'am hahaha because wkoy idea sa pricing wala pako ka try ug sell jd and also naay keychain maam its only 90.Thankyou @missleray and I'll surely enjoy my time here.
Hello Kit. 🤗 oy, we have the same height. Hahaha, but unlike me, you still have years to grow pa. I'm also an introvert like you when I was a kid, and in fact until now. 😅 I'm more comfortable sitting in the corner than be the center of attraction. 🤣
I'm not sporty also and got jealous sometimes with my classmates before, flaunting their skills and talents at school. While growing, I kept asking myself, what talent do I have? I'm not good at singing or dancing. So I have nothing to be proud of. 😅
Then 12 years before, I started crocheting. I got hooked and improved every day. Years after that, I can say that crocheting made me complete and this is where I'm good at. I have been selling my crochet products since 2011 and up to now. And it helped me a lot in the financial aspect. I'm a full-time mother of my 2 children, yet im earning money through crocheting.
As for you, don't try to compare yourself to others. We are all unique. We have different sets of capabilities and skills. Yours are still to be discovered. Besides, you're still young. Enjoy your youth and explore things that are only useful, in which you can use in the future. Nourish your talent in crocheting. And don't be afraid to make mistakes. They are part of the learning process. And always be positive. 🥰
