My name is Wojciech Krzeszowski, I live in EuropaCity Zgorzelec/Görlitz (on the border of Poland and Germany). In 2012, I completed my master's degree in computer science and created an online portal with information from my city and region. The portal I created was different from other local websites in that I touched on topics that everyone knew about, but were afraid to talk about officially. Writing about corruption in local governments made my website very popular very quickly. Writing about corruption was associated with the risk of repression, which quickly became more intense.
On September 26, 2012, my nightmare began and continues to this day. On that day, the mayor of Zgorzelec and a local criminal started a social campaign "ATTENTION OF PEDOPHILIES", in which my image was used without my knowledge or consent. The campaign was conducted in local media, on Facebook and on thirteen large billboards placed on the main streets of my city. Despite my immediate reaction, the police and prosecutors did absolutely nothing to help me. My exposure as a pedophile has become a fact...
At that time I was not yet aware of the consequences of this event. Over time, my family fell apart (parents divorce), I lost my job, I lost my wife, friends and acquaintances. Today I have nothing left except the smartphone on which I am writing this text...
