A quick and succulent dish 🐟🥗😋
Hola feliz viernes mi querido Hibers 🙋, por aquí pasamos saludando como siempre con cariño, optimismo y con el mayor de los deseos para que todos estén bien 🫂🙏. Una de las cosas que debo confesar que tengo en común con mi esposo es el tema de la comida 🥗🍲🍛🥣🍜, para nosotros es bien importante tener siempre los alimentos en nuestra mesa y eso requiere que nosotros le demos la prioridad debida para que siempre sea así.
Hello happy Friday my dear Hibers 🙋, over here we pass by greeting as always with affection, optimism and with the greatest of wishes for everyone to be well 🫂🙏. One of the things I must confess that I have in common with my husband is the subject of food 🥗🍲🍛🥣🍜, for us it is very important to always have food on our table and that requires us to give it due priority so that it is always so.
Por lo general cuando mi esposo trabaja él decide qué menú se hará en casa y él mismo va y hace sus compras, casi siempre es pescado, nos gusta frito, sudado en sopa, guisado, en la presentación que sea, creo que es algo muy común para nosotros los venezolanos.
Usually when my husband works he decides what menu will be made at home and he himself goes and does his shopping, it is almost always fish, we like it fried, sweated in soup, stewed, in whatever presentation it is, I think it is something very common for us Venezuelans.
Esté día cocinamos juntos para tres, pero la tercera persona no es mi hija pues ese día ella tenía una piscinada con un grupo de amigos y bueno nosotros nos quedamos en casa. La invitada adicional es mi hermana Elida quién es mi vecina y por lo general siempre la tomamos en cuenta cuando podemos compartir de nuestros alimentos, a ella también le encanta el pescado sobre todo la parte de la cabeza.
This day we cooked together for three, but the third person is not my daughter because that day she had a pool party with a group of friends and we stayed at home. The additional guest is my sister Elida who is my neighbor and usually we always take her into account when we can share our food, she also loves fish especially the head part.
Esté es un almuerzo rápido y suculento solo se tienen que pelar los chinos ponerlos a hervir hasta que ellos logren ablandarse; por otro lado se prepara el pescado se lava y se condimenta, mi esposo lo hace con limón y sal (siempre le queda en su punto).
This is a quick and succulent lunch, you only have to peel the Chinese and boil them until they get soft; on the other hand the fish is prepared, washed and seasoned, my husband does it with lemon and salt (it is always just right).
En mi caso estuve preparando la ensalada muy sencilla por cierto, no teníamos vinagre en casa, por lo general me gusta lavar los ingredientes con este producto, pero esta vez lo sustituimos por el limón que también me gusta mucho. La ensalada tenía como ingredientes tomate, cebolla, lechuga, sal y un toque de mayonesa.
In my case I was preparing the salad very simple by the way, we did not have vinegar at home, usually I like to wash the ingredients with this product, but this time we replaced it with lemon which I also like very much. The salad had as ingredients tomato, onion, lettuce, salt and a touch of mayonnaise.
Recuerdo que antes yo decía que si la ensalada no tenía mayonesa era como un jardín sin flores y no me gustaba comerla así, he cambiado esa visión, ahorita me la como con mayonesa y sin ella pero debo confesarle que de vez en cuando me encanta acompañarla un toquecito como lo ven por acá.
I remember that before I used to say that if the salad did not have mayonnaise it was like a garden without flowers and I did not like to eat it like that, I have changed that vision, now I eat it with mayonnaise and without it but I must confess that from time to time I love to accompany it with a little touch as you can see here.
Esta comida también la acompañamos con un postre que nos trajo nuestro amado Jonathan, es el famoso arroz con leche, estaba exquisito 😋😋😋 me encanta cuando queda el arroz semi duro y creo que el dulce estaba como a mí me gusta combinado con el sabor de la canela molida. También acompañé mi almuerzo con un cambur o banana pero les decirles que no me lo comí estaba tan llena que decidí dejarlo para otra ocasión.
This meal was also accompanied with a dessert that our beloved Jonathan brought us, it is the famous rice pudding, it was exquisite 😋😋😋😋 I love when the rice is semi hard and I think the sweetness was as I like it combined with the taste of ground cinnamon. I also accompanied my lunch with a cambur or banana but I tell you I didn't eat it I was so full that I decided to leave it for another occasion.
El chino que es una verdura, en esta ocasión lo hice tipo puré al momento de servirlo luego hice esas bolitas que ven allí en ese plato. A mi esposo sí se lo puse de manera de trozo al igual que a mi hermana Elida. Nunca falta la expresión de mi esposo "comí tal como me lo imaginé". Es de una de sus comidas favoritas y bueno ahí voy yo siempre acompañándolo a darnos esos gustos.
The chino, which is a vegetable, this time I mashed it into a puree when I served it and then I made those little balls that you see there on the plate. I did serve it to my husband as a chunk, as well as to my sister Elida. My husband's expression "I ate it just as I imagined it" is never missing. It is one of his favorite meals and well, I always go with him to give us those treats.
Dada las circunstancias en las que estamos viviendo a veces nos toca sentarnos a ver con qué dinero contamos y priorizar en qué lo vamos a invertir. En nuestro hogar siempre va a prevalecer el alimento, somos de los que podemos sacrificar cualquier cosa menos nuestra comida, por eso nos esforzamos por siempre tenerla en casa. Ella desplazará la necesidad de un par de zapatos, vestimenta, cartera, prendas, maquillaje o cualquier cosa, ya que todo eso es secundario.
Given the circumstances in which we are living, sometimes we have to sit down to see what money we have and prioritize what we are going to invest it in. In our home, food will always prevail, we are those who can sacrifice anything but our food, so we strive to always have it at home. She will displace the need for a pair of shoes, clothes, wallet, clothes, makeup or anything else, since all that is secondary.
Me despido de mis queridos lectores, como siempre es un placer saludarlos y compartir con ustedes mis vivencias. Por cierto, en estos últimos días se me ha ocurrido un lema bien pensado y es el siguiente: "Me haré respetuosa de las decisiones de los demás pero no permitiré que los demás roben mi tranquilidad", espero que a ustedes también les sirva esta frase para tener una vida más calmada dentro de sus posibilidades y puedan tener más bienestar.
