Hello, my dear bloggers! Have you ever been to Simala? If yes , please let me know your experience traveling Simala. And if you have not been there, allow me to show you the majestic location of our cherished Mama Mary in Lindogon, Simala. The Simala Shrine, regularly called the Monastery of the Holy Eucharist, is a well-known religious spot located in the heart of Cebu. This castle-like structure isn't most effective an architectural marvel but also a center of faith for plenty Filipinos. Devotees go to this hilltop sanctuary to hope, trying to find steerage, and honor the Blessed Virgin Mary. Through this blog, u will show with you my enjoy together with my family when we visited Simala. On May 1, 2024, at 5 in the morning, I was expecting to woke up, truly, around 4:30 AM to prepare the things we needed and charge our phones. But sadly , I overslept because my alarm changed into on silent mode. I nevertheless had a time to prepare, so I hurriedly got up, took a bath, and cooked rice for us to eat before we leave . I thought it might be crowded because it was holiday or Labor Day , but notably, we didn't encounter any difficulties getting on the bus. @darkrose used my smartphone to take pics since her phone is into low on battery.
I'm not a fan of riding buses because it tends to make me sense nauseous. However, I still enjoyed the journey. Fortunately, there wasn't lots traffic at that point, so we reached Simala from City of Naga so fast .
I'm now not sure which church it was, however I don't forget being captivated through its vintage shape and layout, which appeared to be from the 80s. Perhaps it was located in Argao, however I'm no totally sure .
Upon getting off the bus, we rode a tricycle to attain the Simala church. During my last visit in 2015, the buses stops in nearby the simala church and you will add 20 pesos as fare . But now, we need to ride a tricycle, which price 100 pesos back and forth . When you arrive on the church, the tricycle driver will drop you off at the parking place and provide you with a card with their name and contact number. Just if you want to be picked up later, you may call them .
As you stroll towards the church, you will see a huge crown photo of Mama Mary. It become constructed at some stage in the COVID-19 pandemic and became finished in 2020. The huge crown, measuring 25 feet in height and 14 ft in width, is made from iron steel and became hand made through one of the monks of Lindogon, Fr. Ma Joseph Magtoto. CREAM - CONVERSION and FAITH- household, children, couples.
BROWN - VACATION- marriage bond, single life, God's servant.
BLUE - PERSEVERANCE- employment, career, promotions, and assignments.
BLACK - SOULS- pardon, forgiveness.
I bought the gold candle for Sean's operation, hoping that there could be no complications for the duration of the surgical operation and for his full recovery .
There are lots business structures within the place, which include souvenirs stalls. Travelers also can purchase souvenirs inside the church. The items sold in the shop are the images of the Virgin Mary, saints and angels, crucifix , bibles, rosaries, and prayer guides .
After offering prayers and roaming the place , we took snap shots as a remembrance . Simala Shrine holds a unique location within the hearts of believers for several reasons. Firstly, it serves as a testoemony to the devotion among Catholics in Cebu. Many people go to the shrine claim to have obtained miracles and healing. Additionally, Simala Shrine stands as a symbol of wish and religion, wherein human beings from diverse backgrounds and reviews discover a sense of peace and spirituality.
After exploring the location, we decided to have lunch, and I became surprised by means of the excessive costs, costing 70 pesos per serving, that is pretty costly for a small portion. My mother-in-law told us to bring some foods when you visit Simala for us to save more but we didn't listen , it is better to bring your personal food rather than to buy on the restaurants because it is pricey yet it cannot satisfy your hungry stomach .
After consuming, we determined to go home because my younger son having a tantrum because he is already sleepy . We reached Naga at exactly 12 noon . All I can say I enjoy the travel together with my loved ones and changed into satisfying and relieving. We plan to return to Simala after Sean's operation and recovery to provide our gratitude for the guidance . And now, I shall end this blog filled with wish, love, and peace.
