Friendship is a bond that connects us through shared experiences, laughter, and unwavering support, encompassing moments of joy and sorrow.
Our friendship begins at Quiot National High School. We were classmates in 7th grade, and I didn't know them before. But, specifically, Sherry and Alexha have been best friends since they were in fifth grade.
There were rumors that they were really close, and they even slept in each other's houses without making their parents worry because their parents are also friends.
The first person I got close to was Sherry; we were seatmates at that time, and I got to know her well. Getting to know Sherry means that I also got to know Alexha; they were best friends, so in short, I was like an addition to their friendship.
I even got to join them at SM. We're visiting Sherry's mother, who worked as a cosmetologist at SM's branch of their brand. We wander around the SM and visit brands of clothes, but we don't buy. We only wander and take a look.
After wandering the SM, we got hungry, and so we went to Jollibee. Only Alexha ordered our food since, at that time, there's no self-ordering kiosk, which is the self-service machine that lets you order what you want without the involvement of the cashier or staff.
We paid for our food through Alexha and she ordered and paid at the counter. Later of waiting, our food arrived and we take our time to eat.
Sometimes, we also hang out at Alexha's home. Either to watch a movie or just to pass the time while eating snacks.
Fast forward to Christmas Party
Even before the Christmas Party, we were planning to go to the cinema after the celebration of the Christmas Party. We were excited throughout the whole party and took our time to enjoy the games and foods.
But urgently, I was called through my cellphone by my aunt that I needed to go home. So I just tell them that I can't go and to just let them enjoy the show. They just sent me their picture and they were lucky because they were in front row.
For Project
There was a project by group that been assigned by our teacher, and luckily we were grouped. We stayed at Sherry's house to finish that project until we finish it by midnight.
Alexha was fetched by her father at Sherry's house, and I walked alone to come home. But that's fine with me. Sherry and I are neighbors, not totally close but only a few miles away.
My Birthday
A few months passed, and then my birthday came. I was alone in my bedroom while my aunt was preparing and cooking the food. I offered my assistance, but she declined because she knew me so well that I didn't know anything about cooking. So, I was staying in my bedroom, and suddenly Alexha messaged me that I needed to get to Sherry's house immediately. I didn't ask for any reason, and later, when I arrived at Sherry's house, they weren't answering my call, so I opened their door. After opening the door, I looked around to see if they were home, but they came from outside and smashed the egg and flour in my head. I didn't know that they knew my birthday, so I was surprised and, at the same time, overwhelmed.
They bought me a mini cake and a gift. After wishing myself a happy birthday, we ate the cake that they bought. After eating, I went home because I told my aunt that I'd be right back since it was my birthday, so I couldn't leave them. I am the birthday girl, after all.
A lot things have happened, Alexha and I are so close, after the morning class we will be coming to their house. Sherry can't frequently join us because he had a lover back then.
I often get to Alexha's house after class. We were just watching movies or sleeping together, but mostly what we did was "chika" about our days. Either we complain about the subject or the teacher at school. We didn't intend to really disrespect our teachers, it was just to pass the time.
Alexha wanted to adopt a puppy, and one day while she was scrolling through her phone, she showed me that there was a girl who would like to sell her puppy. Alexha, without hesitation, messaged the girl and said that she wanted to buy it. The seller replied and scheduled us to pick up the puppy.
After waiting, the seller arrived, and we brought the puppy at Alexha's home. Alexha bought dogfood and essentials for her pup, she's taking care of her puppy.
During our leisure time, we went to either Sherry or Alexha's house and went to 7eleven. Our plan was to buy ice cream but ended up as buying food. We took our time to eat and to "chika" more.
Being with them always makes me happy. As the year ends, specifically our school year. My mother told me to transfer to another school, which is Naga National High School. I was saddened by the news that my mom told me. I immediately told Sherry and Alexha; they were also saddened by what I said. But they cheered me up, saying that they would visit me in Naga if they had time. I was happy to hear that.
After the recognition of grade 7, I bid them farewell with my teary eyes. For me, it was a hard decision, but I can't say no to my mother. After saying my goodbyes to them, I leave with my mom to Naga.
