¿”Caduca” nuestro material para publicar en Hive?
Hola mis queridos hivers!! Espero que estén pasando un día hermoso. Les cuento que la semana pasada grabé este video y al final entre una cosa y otra, no pude editarlo ni subirlo cuando de verdad quería.
Pero lo importante es que aquí está y que viene a representar exactamente el tema del que hablo en esta entrega: ¿Cuándo “se vence” nuestro material para poder compartirlo en Hive? ¿Se vence realmente?
En el video comparto mi opinión sobre este tema, pero sobre todo, tengo muchas ganas de leerlos y de saber qué piensan ustedes al respecto.
¿Realmente queda obsoleto contenido capturado en 2019? Siempre y cuando claro, que estemos hablando de contenido inédito.
¿Por qué planteo esto? Porque por ejemplo yo en 2012 compré una cámara fotográfica Canon semi-profesional, y tomé varias fotos. Luego dejé de usarla porque aunque viajé y todo con mi cámara, me resultaba realmente incómoda. En 2018 tuve mi segundo iPhone, un 8 Plus, y allí pude hacer muy buenas capturas que hasta el día de hoy, adoro, porque son realmente de buena calidad y representan parte de mi persona como Belén y como creadora de contenido y viajera.
¿Por qué aquel es contenido inédito? Porque no tenía un blog, porque casi no subía nada a ninguna red social, porque no tenía noción de la existencia de las blockchain. Solo tomé las fotos por amor al arte, lo cual creo que las hace todavía más valiosas.
He compartido algunas de ellas en Hive, pero siempre me he preguntado si eso “está bien”. Y siempre me respondo, ¿por qué no estaría bien? Y es que es material “viejo”. Pero… ¿es realmente este un factor que quite valor o por el contrario, agrega valor al blog del/ la creador/a de contenido?
Me surgió esta duda porque tengo algunas fotos de fines del 2023 que quisiera compartir, como de principios del 2024. Pero mi vida ha sido tan variada estos meses, no he podido publicar y compartir a la velocidad que ocurrían los hechos.
Así que amigos, les dejo aquí la pregunta abierta.

Is captured content really obsolete in 2019? Provided of course, that we are talking about unpublished content.
Why do I bring this up? Because for example I bought a semi-professional Canon camera in 2012, and I took several pictures. Then I stopped using it because although I traveled and everything with my camera, I found it really uncomfortable. In 2018 I got my second iPhone, an 8 Plus, and there I was able to take really good captures that to this day, I adore, because they are really good quality and represent part of me as Belén and as a content creator and traveler.
Why is that one unpublished content? Because I didn't have a blog, because I hardly uploaded anything to any social network, because I had no notion of the existence of blockchain. I just took the photos for the love of art, which I think makes them even more valuable.
I've shared some of them on Hive, but I've always wondered if that's "okay". And I always answer myself, why wouldn't it be okay? And it's because it's "old" material. But... is this really a factor that takes away value or, on the contrary, adds value to the blog of the content creator?
I had this question because I have some photos from late 2023 that I'd like to share, like from early 2024. But my life has been so varied these months, I have not been able to publish and share at the speed that events were happening.

IMHO it is your material, so it your right to publish and share in Hive as long as you wish. Recently I've published some photos from my trip to Cuba, more then 10 years ago... I think you get my point of view 🙂

My answer, in short, is never. But what I find really interesting is that you even had this question. For me the idea itself that a picture can expire is totally strange. Maybe it is the generation gap and I am missing something. In my book the essence of photography is preserving moments of the past and I could never value them depending on how old they are. But I can get that everything is moving faster nowadays and younger people are overflowed with pictures that tend to consider as disposable. After 6 years here, I believe that hive isn't like that. Old stories are welcome as well as old pictures, if they haven't been posted before. I do state though at the end of my posts if it is old material and when I created it.

Hey!! Yes… I don’t know why the idea appears on my head. I mean, I totally agree with you, maybe I have that in my mind because of my last months, that I’ve been moving very fast and a lot of things happened in my life, so everything seems to belong to another life. I’m not sure to be honest, but it’s great to read this comment, because now, I really can share material that I consider valuable, and I wasn’t 100% sure.

Un gusto estar por acá iba a comentarte antes más entre tantas cosas lo había olvidado 😂 más bueno básicamente soy partidaria de que nuestro contenido no se vence así pasen muchos muchos años, es nuestro trabajo y siempre tendrá valor. Yo en lo particular muy pocas veces comparto mi contenido al ritmo de mi vida ejemplo mis viajes a colombia fueron el año pasado y apenas es que comparto todo eso...
