News Flash! Digital Lifestyle Showcase - Edition 001

in Digital Lifestylelast month (edited)
Authored by @olujay

It's mind-blowing the reactions and responses we received in the Digital Lifestyle community since its inception with the community introduction post a week ago. Many of us received the community well and resonated with it. And some chose to add value by sharing content surrounding the digital lifestyle theme, and they are the ones this showcase is about.

Before we begin, I should mention that at the time of writing this post, we have 59 subscribers, 60 active users, and 239 weekly interactions. That's massive! Although many of the interactions happened on the announcement post, the engagement among community users was impressive. It's thrilling to see the community come alive like this.

Now, without further ado, let's showcase some of the exemplary posts that represented the community's theme with their alignment, quality, and effort—in no particular order. These posts have been curated by @digital.hub and are highlighted in the community as 'Curated Content'.

All In Your Pocket
by @jhymi

Long story cut, I ended up finding out what the app was and there’s been no backward glance since. Today I’ll be talking about the amazing features of Pocket Book that I hope book readers and even document perusers might find helpful for that ideal reading experience.

Unlocking Creativity: Why CapCut Became My Go-To Video Editing App
by @starstrings01

image.png

What makes me love Capcut app the most is that it does not use as many computer resources as other video editors I have used before such as Da Vinci Resolve and Premiere Pro. The interesting thing is that I make use of pro features without having to pay a dime on Capcut. Since I started using Capcut for editing, I have never turned my back to it.

Digital Devices & My Daily Activities - Too Much Involvement?
by @merit.ahama

If I have a lot to do that day, you'll see me setting up alarms to remind me for the specific time I set it to. For more than half of my day, I'm on my phone, chatting away or browsing for new knowledge or watching videos as digital science have made it possible for me to ditch away dvd or cd players. I still get surprised when I see people who use it when there is Gotv and Netflix to use instead.

How Creative Is AI? - A Crocheter’s Point Of View
by @abenad

image.png

Let me explain. If you have seen these AI generated pictures, you’ll see how dreamy they look. Oh I can’t deny the fact that they are so beautiful. However, as a crocheter they look so unrealistic. I already spoke about how crochet is 100% handmade, if something I’m supposed to make with my hands look unrealistic to me then how will I make it? At first glance, you go like wowwww and at second look you ask yourself “how are you even going to make that with just hands, hook and yarn?”.

The Digital Evolution: How Google Reshaped My World!!!
by @princessbusayo

You wouldn't be surprised how Google helped me become a beautiful love message writer as I would just browse for messages, and send them to my friends with some little touch on them, I became a love poet as a result of this, with my friends not knowing that Google was my saviour who helped me gain such fame and a name for myself.

Digital Dependence
by @b0s

image.png

Once in a while, I do try to reduce my screen time. Not so regularly, but I have intentionally chosen to take breaks from all screens one day at a time when I can. They're usually a different experience and though usually hard are always a learning experience showing me how over dependent I am on my devices.

My Digital Minimalism Journey: Learning and Growing
by @ngobaby

Personally, my work revolves around the internet and technological tools, but the rate of my addiction to these tools, especially my smartphone, is quite alarming. Waking up without my phone beside me or just the thought of having a low battery can affect my mood for the whole day. my phone has to be the first thing I use each day I wake up.

By the way, the Discord server is underway, but I'm curious about the things you'd like to see in a server you could be fascinated by. Perhaps quick support for issues in the digital space or maybe a place to share and discuss digital tools and trends? Whatever suggestions they may be, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Nice!!!
Thanks for the support

I think the discord should be a combination of both but mostly about trendy tech so that most people that do not about it can quickly check them out and drop their reviews
