After a few intense days of hiking in the mountains and snow, the idea of doing a ride that is mainly by car caught my attention. This was the perfect excuse to rest my legs a bit and to get to those places where it would be impossible to go walking or by public transport. Although I like the afternoons when I'm doing a lot of physical activity, I also enjoy those quiet moments where I don't have to do more than get out of the car to see beautiful landscapes and take some pictures 😅.
Después de unos días bastante intensos de caminata entre las montañas y la nieve, la idea de hacer un paseo que sea principalmente en auto llamó bastante mi atención. Esta era la excusa perfecta para descansar un poco las piernas y de paso, para llegar hasta aquellos lugares a los que sería imposible ir caminando o en transporte público. Si bien me gustan las tardes en las que estoy haciendo mucha actividad física, también disfruto de aquellos momentos tranquilos en donde no tengo que hacer más que bajarme del vehículo a ver lindos paisajes y sacar algunas fotos 😅.
Finding Sandra's tour in her private car at a super price of $32 for four people was one of the best opportunities I had. These tours offered by Ushuaia's own neighbors were a good option to get to know some not so touristy spots and what better than by the hand of its own residents. We started our trip very early in the morning, carrying hot water for the mate, cookies, a lunch and we set out on the trip in which we would cover more than 200 km in total 💕.
Haber encontrado el tour de Sandra en su auto particular a un super precio de $32 para cuatro personas fue una de las oportunidades mejor aprovechadas que tuve. Estos paseos ofrecidos por los propios vecinos de Ushuaia fueron una buena opción para conocer algunos puntos no tan turísticos y que mejor que de la mano de sus propios residentes. Empezamos nuestro paseo muy temprano en la mañana, cargando el agua caliente para el mate, las galletitas, un almuerzo y emprendimos el paseo en el que recorreríamos más de 200 km en total 💕.
As the hostess for this tour, Sandra was the best we could have had. What I felt was that she was doing this trip to go for a walk herself as well, because she was as excited as we were to see these beautiful landscapes. Her itinerary included set stops, but she was always open to us getting out of the car at any point we liked. Taking advantage of this, we got out of the car several times in the middle of the road, anywhere that looked nice for photos. One of the stops we could not miss was the Mirador Paso Garibaldi, where we had a spectacular view of Lago Escondido ❤️.
Como anfitriona de este paseo, Sandra fue la mejor que nos pudo haber tocado. Lo que sentí es que ella hacía este viaje para pasear ella misma también, porque estaba entusiasmada igual que nosotros por ver estos hermosos paisajes. Su itinerario incluía paradas determinadas, pero siempre estuvo abierta a que bajaramos del auto en cualquier punto que nos gustara. Aprovechando esto descendimos varias veces a mitad de camino, en cualquier lado que se viera lindo para las fotos. Una de las paradas que no podíamos perdernos era la del Mirador Paso Garibaldi, en donde tuvimos una vista espectacular del Lago Escondido ❤️.
Another stop we made on this tour was at a restaurant with a beautiful park called Villa Marina. Actually, none of us were going to have lunch there because we had our own food, but the place was nice enough to spend the day. It also had its own pond and mountain view, so it was a nice place to relax for a bit. This tour also included stops at Bridal Veil Waterfall and Lake Fagnano, so it was more than complete for the price we paid 😃.
Otra parada que hicimos dentro de este tour fue en un restaurante con un parque hermoso llamado Villa Marina. En realidad, ninguno iba a almorzar ahí porque teníamos nuestros propios alimentos, pero el lugar era lindo como para pasar el día. También tenía su propio estanque y vista a la montaña, así que fue un buen lugar para descansar un poco. Este paseo también incluyó paradas en la Cascada Velo de Novia y en el Lago Fagnano, así que fue más que completo por el precio que pagamos 😃.
A curious thing about this restaurant was that it had a small chapel next to it and just that day, they were preparing to celebrate a wedding in the evening. I think that getting married in a place like this must be very special (and not cheap), so the bride and groom are very lucky. Taking advantage of the fact that the chapel was open, we went in to see it and it looked like a great place for an intimate ceremony 😀.
Algo curioso que tenía este restaurant es que a su lado tenía una pequeña capilla y justamente ese día, estaban en preparativos para celebrar una boda por la noche. Pienso que casarse en un lugar como este debe ser muy especial (y nada económico), así que los novios son unos afortunados. Aprovechando que la capilla estaba abierta entramos a verla y parecía un gran lugar para una ceremonia íntima 😃.
I really enjoyed this ride in which I didn't have to make much physical effort other than getting in and out of the car. I must also say that the other three people who were with me on this ride were very nice and to this day we are friends through social networks. That's the good thing about traveling, that coincidences bring you together with people you might not even imagine meeting, but with whom you end up sharing a good time ❤️.
Me gustó mucho este paseo en el que no tuve que hacer mucho esfuerzo físico más que bajar y subir del auto. También debo decir que las otras tres personas que estuvieron conmigo en este paseo fueron muy agradables y hasta el día de hoy somos amigos a través de las redes sociales. Eso es lo bueno que tienen los viajes, que las casualidades te unen con personas que quizás ni imaginabas conocer, pero con las que terminás compartiendo un buen momento ❤️.

These places are beautiful, but it is essential to have a vehicle, or as in your case, get someone to guide you, the lake from the Garibaldi Pass viewpoint is impressive.

Casarse en ese lugar debe ser un recuerdo muy bonito para las parejas. Lo complicado es el costo del viaje y el asunto de los invitados, pero soñar no cuesta nada y soñar siempre nos da esperanzas para progresar.
