Greetings everyone. Mindanao contains lots of plain, and mountainous places that is perfect to all those who loves to do adventure just like mountain climbing and camping activities. In the line of my article I make tonight, I will share some of the beautiful and relaxing place here in Manticao, Misamis Oriental. But first of all, I also include the exact location of the place so that we will know the areas for those who wants to visit here. Manticao, Misamis Oriental is a place found in Mindanao Philippines and it is part of Region 10.
Location:
This mountainous places we called by its name, Mount Handagan. This name means Rising. We called by its name because this mountain always shine with the sun every morning. This is the place were the sun shines first before shining those neighboring mountains. From Barangay Poblacion Manticao, we need to travel 2 hours using a motorcycle and the travel fair will cost up to 400 Pesos [ 8 USDT/HBD] that is already back and forth travel. This mountain is also near at the center point of Barangay Toud and series of water channels straight down to the river. Before we reach the place, first we passes by the Said Barangay at doing a few Kilometer of Walking Adventure.
The Best Views at the Place:
If we talked about biodiversity, this place is a good example were many kinds of wild animals and wild plants can be seen. Although those animals are wild, it is really hard to take a picture of them. Most of the wild animals can be seen and found here are Wild boars, Wild birds like Bagwak, Talabon and Manok-Manok. Wild plants like orchids and birds paradise can also be seen here at in grows in a dangerous place like cliff. Big trees also grows everywhere and it helps the area to keeping cool and relaxing. Lots of birds berching at the tree branches building its nests and also wild cats, clinging at the branches.
This place is a perfect spot if we talked about Agricultural activities, in fact the soil here are very fertile that can help the plants grow healthy. Some of the folks living near at this mountains also calls this place "Pulang Yuta" red soil because the color of the soil is Red.
Some of the trees like Narra, Mahogany, Prakkata, Molave and Ipil Tree also grows in here. Most of this trees are perfect for Construction purposes like Walls and floors. Some of the trees are used for building foundations but, the Local Government implemented the law about avoiding cutting trees. This will keep the place cool and have a nice views.
Wild plants:
Wild plants like anahaw is very common plant here at the mountain. It grows everywhere, this is the Anahaw plant look like and it is known as the National Leaves in our Country. It is used for rooftops and umbrella to the farmers. It contains lots of thorns on its palm and it grows bigger and taller.
Non-Living things like Stone:
This mountains contains only a few common stones here like Bantilis, one of the hardest stone used for landscaping. Some of the parts of the mountain are filled with chromite minerals but the Government banned to get and mined chromite.
Camping Place:
If the travelers wants to spend a night here, there some plain place perfect for building tents. The most interesting about this areas is that even if it is already Noontime, still there have lots of fogs covering the Mountain. This is a perfect place for doing camping because of the great overviews here. Mount Handagan is truly a beautiful place because of the big and high mountains, many different kinds of animals and plants can be seen and most of all it is very relaxing place that everyone will really like.

Well for me that is also kind of enjoyable outdoor activities Ma'am. Camping in this kind of place needs to be cautious because of some dangerous animals.
