¡Hola Hola Comunidad! ✨, ¿Me creerían si les digo que llevo todo el año haciendo cuenta regresiva de éste momento? 🤭, yo no sé si he dejado claro antes el gran cariño que le tengo a la serie de Bridgerton 💕, o sea yo incluso leí los libros gracias a la serie y me enamoré de todo éste universo creado por Julia Quinn, y aunque las adaptaciones han sido diferentes a los libros en muchos sentidos, siento que aún así logran ser de mi total agrado de muchas formas, quizás sea porque yo conecte en primera instancia con la adaptación, o que tal vez mi mente ha logrado entender que son dos productos conectados pero diferentes; el punto aquí es que llevaba semanas ansiosa por la llegada de la primera parte de ésta tercera temporada, y como es obvio me ví éstos primeros 4 capitulos anoche mismo y tengo tantas cosas que decir, que me era indispensable venir y traerles mi opinión sobre la primera parte de la tercera temporada de Bridgerton 🪞💕.
Hello Hello Community! ✨, Would you believe me if I told you that I've been counting down to this moment all year? I don't know if I've made it clear before how much I love the Bridgerton series 🤭, I mean I even read the books thanks to the series and I fell in love with this whole universe created by Julia Quinn, and although the adaptations have been different from the books in many ways, I feel that I still manage to like them in many ways, maybe it's because I connect in the first instance with the adaptation, or maybe my mind has managed to understand that they are two connected but different products; the point here is that I've been anxious for weeks for the arrival of the first part of this third season, and as it's obvious I watched these first 4 chapters just last night and I have so many things to say, that it was indispensable for me to come and bring you my opinion about the first part of the third season of Bridgerton 🪞💕.
🧱 SINOPSIS || SYNOPSIS 💕
Si para éste momento aún no sabes de qué trata ésta serie, pues yo te lo cuento 🤣. Ésta historia cuenta la vida de los 8 hermanos bridgerton y su paso por el mercado matrimonial en la época de la regencia, en la primera temporada vimos el debut en sociedad de Daphne Bridgerton y su inminente matrimonio con el Duque de Hasting, en la segunda temporada vimos a la cabeza de ésta familia Lord Anthony Bridgerton caer enamorado por la enigmática Kate Sharma, y finalmente en ésta tercera temporada veremos a un confundido Colin Bridgerton darse cuenta de los sentimientos que alberga hacía su mejor amiga 🤭.
Penelope Featherington ha estado enamorada de Colin Bridgerton por años, pero tras escuchar un desagradable comentario de su parte en la temporada pasada, ha decidido darse por vencida con ese enamoramiento y ha tomado una inminente decisión: debe encontrar esposo, uno que además le dé la suficiente libertad para poder seguir ocultando su secreto. Colin ha regresado a Londres después de una temporada de viajes, y se ha dado cuenta que las cosas con su buena amiga Penelope no están del todo bien, así que en un intento por recuperar su amistad decide ayudarla a conseguir esposo, ésto luego de que los intentos de ella hayan sido un fracaso, y es así como ambos se embarcan en una serie de lecciones que le permitan finalmente conseguir una propuesta de matrimonio… o quizás lo que consigan éstas lecciones sea que Colin se replantee sus sentimientos hacía Penelope.

This story tells the life of the 8 Bridgerton siblings and their passage through the marriage market in the regency era, in the first season we saw the debut in society of Daphne Bridgerton and her imminent marriage to the Duke of Hasting, in the second season we saw the head of this family Lord Anthony Bridgerton fall in love with the enigmatic Kate Sharma, and finally in this third season we will see a confused Colin Bridgerton realise the feelings he harbours for his best friend 🤭.
Penelope Featherington has been in love with Colin Bridgerton for years, but after hearing a nasty comment from him last season, she has decided to give up on that crush and has made an imminent decision: she must find a husband, one who will also give her enough freedom to be able to continue hiding her secret. Colin has returned to London after a season of travel, and has realised that things with his good friend Penelope are not quite right, so in an attempt to regain her friendship he decides to help her find a husband, after her attempts have been a failure, and so the two embark on a series of lessons that will allow him to finally get a marriage proposal... or perhaps what these lessons will do is make Colin rethink his feelings for Penelope.
🪞 FRIENDS TO LOVERS 💕
Si hay algo que caracteriza ésta temporada es el cliché de “Friends to Lovers”, a Colin y Penelope los conocemos desde la primera temporada, y al menos yo desde los primeros capítulos sentí que ellos debían tener su propia historia (ya luego busqué los libros y supe que efectivamente era así 🤣), es por eso que estaba tan ansiosa por finalmente verlos siendo los protagonistas de ésta temporada, y confiadamente puedo decir que, al menos en ésta primera parte, se han lucido de manera maravillosa 💕. Pero comencemos hablando de Colin, y es que desde el inicio de la serie él ha sido uno de mis personajes masculinos favoritos, y cuando en la segunda temporada él dijo el comentario sobre Penelope mi cariño por él decayó un poco (pese a que ya sabía que diría eso por los libros), y es por eso que yo genuinamente esperaba verlo sufrir en ésta temporada 🤣, así que estoy satisfecha de decir que obtuve lo que quería, al menos tuve una versión de Colin confundido. En ésta temporada a Colin le dieron un giro a su personalidad, lo hicieron más coqueto y libertino, y honestamente hasta el momento en que escribo esta reseña no estoy segura de si me agrada o no éste cambio 🤔.
If there is something that characterizes this season is the cliché of "Friends to Lovers", we know Colin and Penelope since the first season, and at least I felt from the first chapters that they should have their own story (later I looked up the books and I knew it was indeed so 🤣), that's why I was so anxious to finally see them being the main characters of this season, and I can confidently say that, at least in this first part, they have excelled wonderfully 💕. But let's start talking about Colin, since the beginning of the series he has been one of my favourite male characters, and when in the second season he said the comment about Penelope my affection for him waned a bit (even though I knew he would say that from the books), and that's why I was genuinely hoping to see him suffer in this season 🤣, so I'm happy to say I got what I wanted, at least I got a version of Colin confused. This season Colin was given a personality twist, they made him more flirtatious and libertine, and honestly as of this writing I'm not sure if I like this change or not 🤔.
Por otra parte tenemos a Penelope, a ella la hemos visto en la sombra durante todas las temporadas, siempre ocupando un papel secundario incluso de su propia vida, siendo un poco el hazme reír de la sociedad, y ahora verla decidida y tomando las riendas de su vida me parece lo más lindo de ver, principalmente lo que más me gustó de su desarrollo en ésta primera parte de la temporada, es que su “cambio” no fue inmediato, aunque hubo un cambio en su horrible guardarropa, ésto no fue simplemente un interruptor para que ella ahora fuese la persona más atrevida y con habilidades sociales insuperables, de hecho lo interesante de dejar a una Penelope que aún le cuesta socializar es que logra que el espectador vea las diferencias entre las interacciones de ella con Colin y con otros hombres, con Colin ella logra ser más suelta y principalmente en estos 4 capítulos se logra ver como incluso ella ahora se muestra ante él tal cual es con mayor facilidad que en las temporadas anteriores, y me atrevería a decir que esto es debido a que ella finalmente bajó a Colin del pedestal en el que lo había tenido por años.
On the other hand we have Penelope, we have seen her in the shadows during all the seasons, always taking a secondary role even in her own life, being a bit of a laughing stock of society, and now to see her determined and taking charge of her life seems to me the nicest thing to see, mainly what I liked the most about her development in this first part of the season, is that her "change" was not immediate, although there was a change in her horrible wardrobe, this was not just a switch so that she was now the most daring person with insurmountable social skills, in fact the interesting thing about leaving a Penelope who still struggles to socialise is that it makes the viewer see the differences between her interactions with Colin and with other men, with Colin she manages to be looser and mainly in these 4 episodes we get to see how even she now shows herself to him as she is with greater ease than in previous seasons, and I dare say this is due to her finally taking Colin down from the pedestal she has had him on for years.
🪞 ASPECTOS QUE ME GUSTARON || ASPECTS I LIKED 💕
En líneas generales ésta primera parte de la temporada me dejó enamoradisima, nuevamente Bridgerton no decepciona en cuanto a escenografía, soundtrack, vestuario y producción, así que esos son elementos que siempre me dejan satisfecha. Ésta temporada está siendo bastante fiel a su libro en la mayoría de los hechos, obviamente hay cambios pero siento que fueron manejados con la suficiente sutileza para lograr integrarlos a la perfección con aquellas cosas que son sacadas tal cual de libro, porque hay incluso diálogos que son tal cual a los libros. Cuando ví el tráiler y ví la nueva amistad que se formaría en ésta temporada, pensé que me molestaría más de lo que realmente fue, porque creo que al menos hasta ahora, la amistad que formaron Cressida y Eloise me gustó, aunque realmente lo que me pareció interesante de ver fue la profundización que se le dió al personaje de Cressida, sigue siendo para mí una persona a la que no le tengo mucha estima en la serie, pero la versión que nos han dado de ella ahora me gustó (además que fue la única en decirle cierta verdad a Eloise 😒).
Overall this first part of the season left me in love, again Bridgerton doesn't disappoint in terms of set design, soundtrack, costumes and production, so those are elements that always leave me satisfied. This season is being pretty faithful to the book in most of the events, obviously there are changes but I feel that they were handled with enough subtlety to integrate them perfectly with those things that are taken as they are from the book, because there are even dialogues that are just like the books. When I saw the trailer and saw the new friendship that would be formed in this season, I thought it would bother me more than it really was, because I think that at least so far, I liked the friendship that Cressida and Eloise formed, although what I really found interesting to see was the deepening that was given to Cressida's character, she is still for me a person that I don't have much esteem for in the series, but the version that we have been given of her now I liked (plus she was the only one to tell Eloise a certain truth 😒).
El inicio de la historia de Francesca se me hizo un acierto total, sobre todo porque su historia así lo amerita, quizás yo le daría menos “protagonismo” porque a veces sí se siente como si la temporada fuese suya, pero fuera de eso me encanta que al fin la hayan incluído en el relato de la serie, cosa que en temporadas anteriores no había pasado. La dinámica de las Featherington me pareció de lo más divertida 🤣, es de esos personajes secundarios que son agradables de ver y cuya historia más que ser un aporte “significativo”, se convierten en el punto de diversión de la trama, además siento que el tema que se manejó con ellas, será algo relevante en la segunda parte 🤔🤣. Sin embargo, de todos los puntos que me gustaron, ninguno superará al hecho de que la canción que se usó para el momento de mayor impacto de ésta primera parte de la temporada, sea de Pitbull 🤣🤣.
The beginning of Francesca's story was a total success, especially because her story deserves it, maybe I would give her less "protagonism" because sometimes it does feel as if the season was hers, but apart from that I love that she has finally been included in the story of the series, something that in previous seasons had not happened. I found the Featherington's dynamic the most fun 🤣, it's one of those side characters that are nice to see and whose story rather than being a "significant" contribution, they become the fun point of the plot, plus I feel that the theme that was handled with them, will be something relevant in the second part 🤔🤣. However, of all the points I liked, none will surpass the fact that the song used for the most impactful moment of this first part of the season is by Pitbull 🤣🤣.
🪞 ASPECTOS QUE NO ME GUSTARON || ASPECTS I DID NOT LIKE 💕
Así como hubo cosas que fueron de mi total agrado, hubo otras que definitivamente no lo fueron, y entre ellas está el tema de las historias secundarias, y éste de hecho ha sido un elemento que he destacado desde la temporada pasada, y es que definitivamente hay historias que no son interesantes de ver y resultan incluso aburridas, y lo diré con toda propiedad, la subtrama de los Mondrich me parece absolutamente innecesaria y creo que debió quedarse hasta la primera temporada, de verdad siento que no aporta nada a la trama, me resulta aburrida de ver y considero que le dan más importancia de la que debería tener, porque al final lo único que se logra con ésto es quitarle tiempo de desarrollo a la verdadera historia principal 🤷🏻♀️. Otro aspecto que dejó un poco desconcertada, es que siento que hay vacíos en la historia, no sé si son internacionales o no, pero por ejemplo con Benedict siento que su historia no tiene continuidad, en la segunda temporada terminamos con un Benedict que está dejando la escuela de artes motivado por cierta crisis, y aquí simplemente como que nos olvidamos de eso y tenemos un personaje que se siente distante y que al parecer se ha olvidado del arte 🤷🏻♀️, espero que en la segunda parte ésta dinámica cambie o nos den una explicación.
Just as there were some things that I totally liked, there were others that definitely were not, and among them is the issue of side stories, and this has actually been an element that I have highlighted since last season, and is that there are definitely stories that are not interesting to watch and are even boring, and I will say it with all propriety, I think the Mondrich subplot is absolutely unnecessary and I think it should have stayed until the first season, I really feel that it doesn't add anything to the plot, I find it boring to watch and I think that they give it more importance than it should have, because in the end the only thing they achieve with this is to take time away from the development of the real main story 🤷🏻♀️. Another aspect that left me a bit disconcerted, is that I feel that there are gaps in the story, I don't know if they are international or not, but for example with Benedict I feel that his story has no continuity, in the second season we ended with a Benedict who is leaving the school of arts motivated by a certain crisis, and here we just kind of forget about that and we have a character who feels distant and seems to have forgotten about art 🤷🏻♀️, I hope that in the second part this dynamic changes or we get an explanation.
Sin embargo ninguno de éstos aspectos supera al hecho de haber dañado la amistad entre Eloise y Penelope, en la temporada dos las dejamos a ellas peleadas debido al descubrimiento que hizo Eloise, aún así siento que ésta amistad la están dañando de una forma que no solo va a costar reconciliarlas y que tenga sentido, sino que también va a costar hacer que el público se reconcilie con Eloise. Desde el inicio yo he tenido un tema con el personaje de Eloise, nunca ha sido de mi total agrado porque la siento bastante egoísta y extremista en su forma de pensar (hasta poco empática), pero he mantenido la fe en pensar que tras la pelea con Penelope ella finalmente tendría su momento de madurar y desarrollarse como personaje, y al menos en estos 4 primeros capítulos eso no ha pasado y más bien mi incomodidad con su personaje ha incrementado, espero la segunda parte de la temporada sea distinta para su personaje y su relación con Penelope.
However none of these aspects outweigh the fact that they have damaged the friendship between Eloise and Penelope, in season two we left them fighting because of the discovery that Eloise made, even so I feel that this friendship is being damaged in a way that not only will it be difficult to reconcile them and make sense, but it will also be difficult to make the audience reconcile with Eloise. From the beginning I've had an issue with Eloise's character, I've never liked her because I feel she's quite selfish and extremist in her way of thinking (even little empathetic), but I've kept faith in thinking that after the fight with Penelope she would finally have her moment to mature and develop as a character, and at least in these first 4 episodes that hasn't happened and rather my discomfort with her character has increased, I hope the second part of the season will be different for her character and her relationship with Penelope.

Hola Kiut ! ! No way leí el título de tu post y literal me lancé de cabeza, también sigo la serie pero de verdad que no tengo tiempo para leer los libros así que no puedo saber si la adaptación es fiel o no, y me pregunto qué tan diferentes son 👀
Yo también sentí esta temporada diferente, quizá en la primera como nos presentaron tantísimos personajes y a la vez te explicaban cómo funcionaban las dinámicas sociales de ese mundo, había como más "bocaditos en cada minuto". Esta tercera temporada me supo como a un fanfic de esos que hacen cuando la historia principal a terminado 🧐
No me quejo porque igual me gustó mucho y en mi apartado favorito, la dirección de vestuario, se lucieron... Pero fíjate que a la reina no le dieron esas tomas tan contundentes como en la primera temporada, ella salía y era "wooow, detengan todo pretty pls!" 😪 Ahora hasta se sentía de ratos como un personaje de relleno y fue súper raro...
