Splashes and Giggles

When boredom strikes, an instant laag goes. This was an unplanned journey, but when boredom knocked on my husband,he suddenly felt like wandering off. This was us chillin' at Circa La Playa Resort located at Tungkil, Minglanilla, Cebu.

One Friday afternoon, my husband told me to fetch my daughter from school because as he said we're going to travel to city which where his mother used to live before settling at Don G. Antigua Borbon Cebu. I asked him why, he just responded like this " just pick up our daughter and stop asking questions". So I pick up my daughter at school without questioning him again. He has this attitude that gets irritated when asked many things.

When we arrived at the new bus terminal located at the back of Sm Cebu, I was amazed and I felt quite odd of the place ,because I was used to the old North bus terminal. I felt really ignorant, looking around, staring at the tall buildings, because where we came from all I saw were trees and sugar cane fields. I can't forget the experience of crossing the roads there because I was too afraid that a car my bump us. The roads there are hard to cross for me, seems like the cars there are like ants passing in lines with no cutout, whereas in the province , the roads are easy to cross.

When we were traveling in South Reclamation Area (SRP), my son was amazed of the many cars he saw. He was not used to seeing many cars traveling. He even told her sister " inday, count all the cars you see, we're going to buy one when we grow up". I laughed at my son's words , but who knows when they grow up, they can really buy one, manifesting.

My partner's mother was glad that we visited her there because tomorrow will be her birthday. My partner doesn't know that it is her mother's birthday tomorrow, because he grew up with his grandparents and here mother didn't take care of him when he was young. He suggested to celebrate his mother's birthday near the sea or something near the water.

Saturday morning, we travel going to south and looking for a not so expensive resort but nice to stay or have a swim at. Then we found this resort named Circa La Playa Resort at Tungkil Minglanilla.

This is a public resort but for me , who seldomly goes to place like this, it was beautiful and a new experience for me and my kids. The place has a nice view and a clean pool and surroundings.

I haven't noticed that my daughter is still wearing her mask on her chin. She splashes in the water and plays with her brother and cousins wearing her black mask. What an awkward situation 🤣. Anyway, we are few in the resort and maybe others notice it but they just don't mind, she was just a kid though. I bet this is the very first time that happens in history that a kid is wearing a mask while swimming in the pool 🤣.

When I noticed it already, I asked her to get his mask and put it in the garbage bag , and she did what I told her.

Everyone is having a great time swimming, especially the little ones.

We rent a cottage that can accommodate us all .

Me and my partner 😍

These are the faces of the children who are enjoying the swimming pool. As I watched them from the cottage where I sat down, I can hear their laughter's and giggles while playing in the water.

We called our young ones because their grandma was going to blow out her birthday cake. As we were singing her a happy birthday song, she was teary eyed. She thanked everyone who wished her a happy birthday and who'd been with her in her birthday celebration . Mostly in occasion like this, we seldomly joined them because we're on tight budget.

An occasion will not end without a drink. We settle for an Emperador light, this costs less than a case of cold beer 🤣. Both can make us drunk but the price differs. When it almost dusk, we packed our things and went back to my kids grandma's boarding house, took a rest and travelled back home tomorrow morning.

Our whole day was spent nicely. I really enjoyed hanging out with them. The best thing about unplanned laag is the element of surprise it brings and often more memorable than planned laag. Where we enjoy every moment, I mean embrace the unexpected without the constraints of a fixed schedule. Discover new place and experience things that we might not experience if everything was planned out.
