Esta es una de de esas obras que no tiene un significado especial a simple vista, pero tiene un trasfondo complejo.
Hello again hive community, today I want to show you my newest drawing.
This is one of those pieces that doesn't have an especial meaning at first sigh but it has a complex story behind.

En el muy lejano 2001, 2002, bueno hace mucho tiempo, cuando tenia mis consolas y mis jueguitos de PlayStation, había un jueguito que era mi favorito, el Dance Dance Revolution.
Para los que no sepan Dance Dance Revolution, o solo DDR es un juego de ritmo, donde unas flechas direccionales aparecen en la pantalla y tienes que coincidir en tiempo con un panel en el suelo, o con el teclado, o control.
Back in the very distant 2001, 2002, well, a long time ago when I had my consoles and my PlayStation games, there was a game that was my favorite, Dance Dance Dance Revolution.
For those who don't know Dance Dance Dance Revolution or just DDR is a rhythm game, where directional arrows appear on the screen and you have to match in time with a panel on the floor, or with the keyboard, or controller.

Cuando salió el DDREXTREME, yo lo necesitaba en mi vida y lo conseguí tan rápido como pude. En esa época que podías descargarte los ISO y quemar los cd en el neroburn, bueno, cositas.
El DDR Extreme estaba lleno de canciones antiguas que amaba así como canciones nuevas que termine amando, pero hubo una particular que me sorprendió mucho, tanto por su dificultad como por su melodía.
When the DDREXTREME was released, I need it in my life and I got it as soon as I could. at that time you could download the ISO of the game and burn it with Neroburn, old times.
DDR Extreme was full of old songs that I loved as well as new songs that I ended up loving, but there was one particular one that really caught me, both for its difficulty and its melody.
Sakura (桜) de Reven-G. No solo tenia un fondo personalizado, cosa que era extraño para los juegos de DDR a diferencia del Pump it Up, si no que para ser una canción con dificultad, era inusualmente bonita y muy divertida de jugar.
Sakura (桜) by Reven-G. Not only did it have a custom background, which was rare for DDR games unlike Pump it Up, but for a song with difficulty, it was unusually pretty and fun to play.
En ese entonces pense, “oye que cool seria poder pintar el personaje de fondo.”
Resulta que el personaje es Alice, se presento por primera vez en una entrega anterior, el DDR 5thMix, solo que para esa canción, usa un kimono tradicional japonés y no su habitual vestimenta.
At that time I thought "I'd be cool of I could draw the background character"
It turns out, the background character is Alice, it was debuted in DDR 5th mix, but for this son, she wears a traditional Japanese Kimono instead if her informal clothes.

Y nada, bastante años después, haciendo matemáticas, 21 años después, pude sacar de la mente esa ilustración que tanto quería hacer :V
Este es el proceso de como lo hice
and well, a lot of years later, 21 to be precise, I could finally get out that image from my head.
This is the process how I did it.

El thumbnail lo hice en mi teléfono, porque me propuse que quería hacer esta pieza.
I made the thumbnail on my phone, because I decided I wanted to do this piece.
Bosquejo y Lineado
Sketch and Lineat.
Hubo un punto en que sentí que no estaba funcionando la pieza, así que cambie todo y agrande el personaje y edite el fondo.
There was a point where I felt the piece wasn't working, so I changed everything. I enlarged the character and edited the background.
No estaba segura que coloreado quería darle, pero intente hacer una mezcla de algo sencillo pero a la vez elaborado.
I was unsure what type of coloring I wanted to use for my drawing, so I tried to make a mix between something simple but at the same time not so simple.
"Confiando en el proceso" y dándole un poco mas en la obra, así ha quedado.
"Thrusting the process" and keep painting, this is how it ended.

Creo que mi yo de 2002 estaría feliz con esa pieza.

Que linda, yo lo había visto el dibujo en Instagram no sabía que tenía un trasfondo más allá de lo que habías escrito allá.
Estuve viendo el vídeo y me gustó la melodía a pesar de ser muy corta (la he repetido como unas 9 o 12 veces para que después Youtube me lo recomiende en el playlist), pero me cuesta ver al personaje Alice en las diferentes transiciones con la misma "cara de Poker". Estaba que le decía: "¿¡Mija qué tienes!? ¡Espabila que se te mete el pelo en el ojo! ¡Reacciona!.
Se notan que eran otros tiempos ese pantalón de Alice es poco visto como moda hoy en día y bueno, el juego es el mismo de las maquinitas de baile y ahora tenemos OSU para los más "frikis" para dañar el Mouse.
Gracias por pasarte por el post. El trasfondo era muy largo para compartirlo en el instagram, así que pensé que estaría mejor ponerlo aca.
Si se nota que la moda de los 2000 era una cosa muy rara. Extraño mucho los arcades de baile a decir verdad. El OSU no se cual es, pero lo voy a investigar. 👀
