Hello hivers! Allow me to introduce myself again, @amishu, and welcome to my blog!🌷

Please take a moment to read my blog, where you will discover some insightful information and lessons on my next adventure!⛰️

Join me as we embark on the mountaineering adventure to Paksol for our PEH 4 culminating activity. The Finale.✨

IMG_2529.jpeg

For those who don’t know, mountaineering is the sport or activity of climbing mountains. It involves hiking, climbing, and using special equipment to reach the top of high and often difficult peaks.

IMG_3700.jpeg

Before hand, our PEH 4 teacher gives us a task. We are grouped into two groups, and each group is given a task to make a detailed plan for our assigned event. We are assigned to make a detailed plan for the aquatic activity and the other group for the mountaineering activity as well. We start to make and plan for our event. Sadly, we can’t make our planned event possible because there are so many things that need to be approved, like a permit to use the pool, a permit from our principal, etc. So our teacher decided to perform a mountaineering activity instead of the two events since the mountaineering activity is less hassle, and all of us agreed because it’s easier.

IMG_2568.jpeg

It’s a day of submissions for our modules, so we also planned our mountaineering activity since there is already a facilitator for this event; we just planned the location and time. We all agreed to do the mountaineering activity at Paksol Inuboran, including the time of arrival and everything. It’s all set.

IMG_2501.jpeg

On the day of our PEH 4 Culminating Activity, we should all arrive at Inuboran Alley at exactly 5:15 for a short orientation and 5:20 to start hiking. I woke up at 3:00 AM⏰ because I was scared to be late because I didn’t know the directions. I already prepared my things yesterday night, including the necessities things like water, umbrella and clothes so all I did was get myself ready and do the daily routines.

IMG_2496.jpeg

IMG_2497.jpeg

After getting ready, I departed from the house at 4:45 AM. I was worried when I arrived at our street because there was no “multicab” or "jeep.” The time is running so fast that I decided to take a minibus instead, just to arrive in Naga City and travel again to Inuboran since the minibus I took was just to Naga City.

IMG_2498.jpeg

When I arrived in Naga, I saw that some of my classmates and friends were also waiting for a multicab going to Inuboran. It takes so much time before we find a multicab that will get us there. We arrived at Inuboran’s Alley at exactly 5:15 AM.

IMG_3685.jpeg

The facilitators immediately started the short orientation. After a short orientation, we should also never forget to pray before going. Sir Mandal, our PEH 4 teacher, led the prayer. After the short orientation and prayer, we are all ready to go!🙌🏻

We started walking to reach the peak. When we already reach halfway before we get to the peak, I already slowly feel the exhaustion.🚶🏻‍♀️

Beauty🌅

Instead of taking a rest, we decided to continue walking, and unexpectedly, the sunrise caught all of our attention because of its elegant colors and beauty. We stopped and took some pictures of it, and we continued walking after that breathtaking scenery of the sunrise. We are almost there.

All of us arrived at Paksol safely, and I quickly took a rest after that exhausting trekking.

Hi ms. @patrixx21☺️

We are all taking a rest before deciding to distribute the food that Sir Mandal bought for us all. Jollibee is the favorite of all; it brings back childhood memories with this food. I chose spaghetti instead of a burger. I am so full after that delicious, jolly spaghetti, thanks to Sir Mandal.😋

IMG_2541.jpeg

The event facilitators also prepared games and prizes for us. We started the game, in which we will group into 3 and form a straight line and hold onto each person in front of us. The goal is to catch the last person in the line of the other group by the first person in line of your group. We have so much fun when my friends and I fall while running (HAHAHAHAHAHA), and she really falls exactly at the top of the plant, which makes it more funny and really rent-free in our minds.😭

IMG_2570.jpeg

We proceed to the second game, which is Longest Line with a twist. We start our line using the things that we have on us, even the things that we wear. Our line is already the longest among the rest, but there’s a twist. The real game is that the group that can wear all of the things that they put in their line first is the winner. Since we all finished wearing our things exactly at the same time, it’s a tie, so we all won. We all had so much fun after those wonderful games.👾

IMG_2543.jpeg

We take a rest for a moment while watching the beautiful scenery in front of us. The facilitators ended the event with a short speech, and we all decided to go home.

IMG_2590.jpeg

IMG_2598.jpeg

Instead of going home immediately, we already planned to go to Marlyn’s house to make some leche flan because I’m really craving leche flan that day. We already have all of the ingredients; all we need is 10 egg yolks, 1 can of condensed milk, 1 can of 360 mL evaporated milk, and sugar. We just walked to Marlyn’s house since it was just on the other side.

IMG_2612.jpeg

In making a Leche flan: first prepare all of the ingredients including your molder or “lanera”.

IMG_2602.jpeg

Then you just need to crack the 10 eggs separate the egg yolks to the white one because we are going to use the egg yolks.

IMG_2620.jpeg

IMG_2623.jpeg

Next step put a white sugar to your molder or “lanera” and put it in medium low heat and wait to caramelize, when it’s done set aside and let it cool.

IMG_2611.jpeg

IMG_2621.jpeg

Next step is stir the egg yolks slowly and add the 1 can of condensed milk and 1 can of 360mL evaporated milk we also added a 2 drop of vanilla extract (optional), again don’t over-mix. When it’s done the next step is use a strainer to strain the mixture and get all the excess bubbles in the mixture, next is transfer the mixture into the molder or “lanera” that has the caramelize white sugar.

IMG_2627.jpeg

Then put it into a steamer since we don’t have any steamer we just use a pot to steam it just put a right amount of water to steam your Leche flan and wait for 60 minutes.🕥

Leche Flan🍮

After 60 minutes, we put it in the fridge; it’s ready! The appearance is not that perfect, but the taste is very good.

IMG_2636.jpeg

Sir Mandal also requested a "halang-halang,” or chicken hinalang, from Kate, so Kate cooked it for us. When the foods were all ready, we decided to eat, but before that prayer, always. When we finished eating, we decided to eat the dessert, which is the leche flan. Our cravings were satisfied again.🍽️

After everything, we decided to go home and thank Marlyn for letting us stay in their home.☺️🏠

STEM 12 - VELASCO💗

The finale of our PEH 4 gives us new memories to unlock, and we really have some fun. Make time with your classmates and teachers too, because someday each of your paths will be separated for good and for our dreams.💭🌌

As I draw to a close, let us never forget that supporting one another is what will always make us stronger.

Let’s wrap this up and continue our engaging conversations in my next story.📖

May I know what PEH 4 mean? Sorry, I've never heard of that kind of acronym before 😅.

Sure! PEH 4 stands for Physical Education and Health 4. It's just the name of our subject. No worries about asking @tvlipz02!😊
