Postcards from Thailand #49: Wall of Denial

in Actifit8 months ago

There was just the rendering and ramp to complete. On time, on budget and looking straight (ish)!

Talking of budget, I'll show you the costings.

What? Cant read Thai? Me neither, but roughly, the green one is for the wood to make the shuttering and the other is for a cube of sharp sand, steel, cement, wire and nails. On top of this, there was 1200baht for a cube of stones and we paid the guys 4000baht giving us a total of about 9000 Baht is about £220 or $280 USD. Not bad, and I've loads of 'stuff' left to dabble with!

So when the rendering was finished, that was that and it was time for me to go out with shovel and barrow and do some terraforming...OK, too much time as a youngster watching Star Trek, I mean raking muck about to smoothly level the ground off a bit.

Anyway, I got some of it done before the universe's system of balance kicked in. After all, it had been going so well and I had appeared to find builders who at least had a clue. So what happened?

Flat tyre on my new pride and joy, yellow wheelbarrow! That's its, tools down, time to go hunting a puncture repair kit. I'll finish it later. There's always tomorrow...

But as it turned out, the universe's balance beam hadn't even started to approach equilibrium yet!

Have a great week!
