Music throughout history
I can't visualize my life without music in it, I think that before I was born my mother used to sing me lullabies in her native language, it was too sweet to hear her sing to my children, to my nephews and nieces nursery rhymes.
My parents in their native land were singers, church choristers and sang in theaters, they did it for pleasure, that is to say, they did not profit from it. When they arrived in Venezuela those things were lost, however they kept on singing and instilling those values in us, each one of us has a little piece of them (children, grandchildren) passion for music, so much so that one of my nieces has gone very far being the official double of Selena Quintanilla in Chile, we are proud that she recently sang with Alvaro Torres, singer who shared a song when Selena was alive.
Since I was 8 years old my parents enrolled me in musical groups, band groups and academies for piano, theory and music theory. My parents met through music and the same thing happened to me with my first marriage, it was very beautiful to have those things in common.

Music throughout history
No puedo visualizar mi vida sin la música en ella, creo que antes de nacer mi madre me cantaba canciones de cuna en su idioma natal, era demasiado dulce escucharla cantarle a mis hijos, a mis sobrinos canciones infantiles.
Mis padres en su tierra natal eran cantantes, coristas de iglesia y cantaban en teatros, lo hacían por gusto, es decir, no se lucraban de ello. Al llegar a Venezuela esas cosas se perdieron, sin embargo siguieron rondando la música e inculcándonos esos valores, cada uno de nosotros tiene un pedacito de ellos (hijos, nietos) pasión por la música, tanto que una de mis sobrinas ha llegado muy lejos siendo la doble oficial de Selena Quintanilla en Chile, nos sentimos orgullosos que hace poco canto con Álvaro Torres, cantante que compartió una canción cuando Selena estaba con vida.
Desde los 8 años mis padres me inscribieron en agrupaciones musicales, grupos de bandas y academias para piano, teoría y solfeo. Mis padres se conocieron a través de la música y lo mismo me sucedió con mi primer matrimonio, fue muy hermoso tener esas cosas afines.

The 70's and 80's were the most sacred years for me, my parents had good musical tastes, I grew up listening to artists in Portuguese, English, Italian, French and Spanish, it is impressive that since I was little I could understand and master several languages and thanks to my parents, I could feel the music in all its splendor without any barrier, My parents' taste for music was so great that I remember the exaggerated amount of vinyl records they had, my father's old record player, my father singing karaoke at home at that time, recording on cassettes and then sending them by airmail to his mother in Portugal, of course he made us all sing.
In those two decades of musical history, in my opinion, people with real vocal quality, artistic, the lyrics and melody of the songs were exquisite.
My parents listened to various musical rhythms, but I could appreciate that their favorites were country and disco music, which is why I love those musical styles.
My brothers influenced me with their passion for rock, reggae and pop. I further defined those styles by adopting them even in the way I dress.
My parents' home was always playing music, music accompanied us on every trip, they traveled a lot nationwide and the amount of cassettes in the car was admirable.
I grew up listening to songs by Lupe and Polo, the Bee Gees, Ub40, Queen, ABBA, Michael Jackson, Los Panchos, Rocio Durcal, Juan Gabriel, Jose Luis Rodriguez (El Puma), Karina, Los Melodicos, La Billo's, Jorge Ferreira, Elton John, Bob Marley, The Beatles, John Lennon, Roberto Leal, Linda de Sousa, Blondie and later on, rock and metal bands such as Metálica, Guns N' Roses, Desorden Público, Mulato, Maná, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, The Police, Scorpions, The Cranberries, Evanescence, Locomía, and if I keep on naming more I will not finish the publication.

Los años 70-80's fueron lo más sagrado para mí, mis padres tenían buenos gustos musicales, crecí escuchando artistas en idiomas portugués, ingles, italiano, francés y español, es impresionante que desde pequeña podía entender y dominar varios idiomas ya gracias a mis padres, pude sentir la música en todo su esplendor sin ninguna barrera, los gustos por la música en mis padres eran tantos que recuerdo la cantidad exagerada de Discos de vinilo que tenían, el tocadiscos antiguo de mi padre, mi padre cantando en casa al karaoke de aquella época, grabando en casetes y luego los enviaba por correo aéreo para su madre en Portugal, por supuesto nos hacía cantar a todos.
En esas dos décadas de historia musical, en mi opinión, gente con verdadera calidad vocal, artística, la letra y la melodía de las canciones eran exquisitas.
Mis padres escuchaban varios ritmos musicales, pero podía apreciar que sus favoritas eran la música country y Disco, razón por la cual amo esos estilos musicales.
Mis hermanos por su parte influyeron en mí con su pasión por el rock, reggae y pop. Yo definí aun más esos estilos adoptándolos hasta en mi forma de vestir.
El hogar de mis padres siempre estuvo sonando música, la música nos acompañaba en cada viaje, ellos viajaban mucho a nivel nacional y la cantidad de casetes en el carro era admirable.

Greats of the greats...
There was a fateful period in my life that I had to disconnect myself from everything completely, divorce even from my self, from my musical tastes, when I entered a toxic and abusive relationship, there was no more music in my life, everything was submerged in pain and silence, it was 12 years full of sadness and tears.
Fortunately my awakening began about 3 years ago, I started a healing process from which thanks to God and many therapies I am recovered, I connected with music, I fell in love with an announcer and I reconciled with life, with music, with joy, with beautiful love, with my roots and a lot of self-love.
Now I can appreciate that for each person music enters their life in a different way but it can really connect us, it can even connect us directly with memories, moments, smells, tastes, people who are no longer with us.
Music is the most wonderful thing that can happen to us in life, the world in silence is very sad I tell you, music makes us dream, remember, smile, cry, drain emotions, it has been a wonderful journey in my life full of learning, the most beautiful thing of all is to be able to pass these things to your offspring, Because just as my parents sowed in me the good musical taste, I am proud to have been able to transmit it to my children, to see in them that they enjoy listening to those old musics that do not lose validity, retro music, the kind of music that is missed today, where many of us wonder what has happened to the artists? The musical production nowadays is not very good and it is not capable of sowing values.
However, when one of the current artists performs one of the retro songs, I think there is still hope to get out of autotune, to produce real music with musical instruments, where the lyrics of the songs make us fall in love and encourage respect, love and friendship.
The musical evolution, personally, has evolved and adapted to the human of today, rushed, stressed, technological where the feeling is increasingly lost in the direct sexuality in fused rhythms from a digital technology box.
Leave me in the 70's-80's and 90's.

Grandes de los grandes...
Hubo un periodo fatídico en mi vida que tuve que desconectarme de todo completamente, divorciarme hasta de mi yo, de mis gustos musicales, cuando entré en una relación tóxica y abusiva, ya no hubo más música en mi vida, todo estuvo sumergido en el dolor y silencio, fueron 12 años llenos de tristezas y lágrimas.
Afortunadamente comenzó mi despertar desde hace unos 3 años atrás comencé en un proceso de sanación del que gracias a Dios y muchas terapias estoy recuperada, me conecté con la música, me enamoré de un locutor y me reconcilié con la vida, con la música, con la alegría, con el amor bonito, con mis raíces y mucha ración de amor propio.
Ahora puedo apreciar, que a cada persona la música entra en su vida de una forma diferente pero que realmente puede conectarnos, puede inclusive conectarnos directamente con recuerdos, momentos, olores, sabores, personas que ya no están.
La música es lo más maravilloso que puede pasarnos en la vida, el mundo en silencio es muy triste que se los digo yo, la música nos hace soñar, recordar, sonreír, llorar, drenar emociones, ha sido un viaje maravilloso en mi vida lleno de aprendizajes, lo más hermoso de todo es poder traspasar estas cosas a tu descendencia, pues así como mis padres, sembraron en mí el buen gusto musical, estoy orgullosa de haberlo podido transmitir en mis hijos, ver en ellos que disfrutan escuchar esas músicas antiguas que no pierden vigencia, música retro, de esta que se extraña hoy día, donde muchos nos preguntamos ¿Qué ha pasado con los artistas? La producción musical en el ahora no es muy buena que digamos y no es capaz de sembrarnos valores.
Sin embargo, cuando uno de los artistas actuales, interpreta una de las canciones retro, pienso que aun hay esperanza de salir del autotune, de producir música real con instrumentos musicales, donde las letras de las canciones nos enamoran y fomentan el respeto, el amor y la amistad.
La evolución musical en lo personal, ha evolucionado y adaptándose al humano del hoy, apurado, estresado, tecnológico donde el sentimiento cada vez más se va perdiendo en la sexualidad directa en ritmos fusionados provenientes de una caja tecnológica digital.
A mí que me dejen en los 70-80 y 90's

Wow... 12 años... Bueno querida, todo pasa cuando tiene que pasar, y ya vas por tu segundo aire desde hace rato. La música suele ser ese refugio para lidiar con estos momentos, al menos en mí lo es y lo ratifiqué con los acontecimientos de los últimos años. Tu eres conocedora porque leo aquí, todo lo que mencionaste es oro puro de la industria musical, música que trasciende en el tiempo, me alegra. Sin duda comparto muchas de tus opiniones acerca de la música en la vida de las personas.
En lo personal la música de hoy en día a cambiado muchísimo, ahora hay muchos q sin talento hacen "música" cuando antes para ser musico debías tener una gran preparación y talento.

La música de aquella época tiene algo que embriaga. Para mí también es el mejor estilo y me emociono cuando algún artista de estos años y siendo joven experimenta y saca provecho de aquellos temas viejos impregnando lo nuevo con lo viejo para hacer algo único. Me alegra que lograras recuperarte y superar esa mala experiencia. Un abrazo!

Que hermoso que tus padres y muchos de los miembros de tu familia continúen con esa misma línea musical, es un talento que debemos avivar cada día en nuestro ser interior.
