The last of the bush cherries being harvested today. These are the Nanking variety. ...

... Tastey little buggers...when harvested at peak ripeness! We have these perennial fruiting cherry bushes throughout the food forest. Much smaller than the larger “cherries” on neighboring fruit trees, they are a favorite of birds and a great decoy target for them to eat vs. our tree cherries. ;) The leaves are beautiful and we can shape the bush into any form we want. It a great genetic to bring into the food forest! Heavy producer, year after year!! I’ll post a link below where you can learn more. Thanks for tuning in today! Happy harvests! Posting your photos is great, how to take your photos like a photographer. Types of plants in Indonesia are called forest cherry trees and also many animals such as birds that eat them.

I assume you eat them too? All the red fruit attracts birds and insects. I ate my last cherry now I start with the mulberries.

hehe...cheers to that! now that the cherries are gone...we are gobbling mulberries. plums, pluots and peaches soon! oh yes...we eat the bush cherries. ;)

Here it is mulberries but there are way too much and they attract the flies and wasps. My trees are at least 5-6 meters high.
