An Intergalactic Beer Saturday 244

in #beer2 years ago

Good Day Hivians and #BeerSaturday friends.

Ride this Super Cluster IPA to the moon!

Today's Beer is from the Lagunitas Brewing Company

Super Cluster (Their Beer Description)

This out-of-this-world ale is a galactic blast from the glass, a Citra supernova in the sky, jettisoning lupulin lusciousness through the cosmos and across the universe of your palate. Cheers!.

High ABV, Citrus Flavors, and a Little Bitterness

This can was in a pile of other single can beers at the grocery store so I picked one up. Lagunitas has some good IPAs and other flavored beers.

It pours a nice copper color with a thick foamy head. You can smell the citrus and a little pine. The first taste is the sweeter citrus notes, then the sip finishes with a little bitterness.

It's interesting that they use the word jettisoning in their description because I would say that is the journey of the sips. It starts in one place and then ends up somewhere entirely different.

Another interesting tidbit from the Brewers description, see in the beginning how they call it an ale and not an IPA? It should be called a pale ale because it didn't have a strong bitter flavor. It was good, don't get me wrong, but my personal preference for IPAs is pine tree bitter, lol.

Still, A Flavorful Adventure

I wouldn't go so far as to say that it has intergalactic potential but at 8% ABV, more than one or two of these will take you to the moon!
