Sometimes it feels like I'm living inside a dystopia governed by idiots... an idiocracy. Though I meet nice people wherever I go I realize that the ones in charge of taking care of the future of mankind and society are just plain dumbasses. With all the commotion going on around the world because of Covid and all the other crises that that this little pest brought together, the crypto sphere seems like one of the only things that looks normal to me.
Of course, for the majority of non-visionaries living their lives in the fantasy of what they call "here and now", investing in crypto is still a childish thing, a game, a scheme to get rich fast or die of hunger in between. They can't even link all the arguments they see in plain sight for a few months now with the need of stable and self-governed financial system. The limits of the financial system as we know it for hundreds of years are showing more than ever in 2021: fast inflation, increase in energy costs, shortage of materials...
We may not like to recognize it but the chances are that we are on the verge of a shift in the paradigm of society and crypto may be one of the new realities that we will have to face and accept in the next 10-20 years, either we like it or not. I feel like it's going to be just like the virus: you either accept that it's here and this is the reality now (so adapt or...) , or you prefer not to be bothered by it and all the changes it brings and you may either end up in dead man's bag or totally unprepared to face the new conditions that the change brought.
It's not going to be an easy ride and being a father, I can only try not to imagine what my daughter's generation will have to go thorough with all the changes in the quality of life they will have to embrace. In the next couple of dozens of years we will have to face climate change, financial crisis, medical crisis, limited resources. Crypto will most surely be a part of this reality; society will heat up and when it will get to the boiling point, it will generate a shift in all it's layers, the financial system being obsolete for some time now anyway. Leaders will need to be replaced with something else, wealth redistributed and classes realigned.
Living in Romania doesn't make these thoughts go away easier. On top of everything else we also have a governmental crisis with idiots revealing themselves as idiots. I guess that this is a trend now but seing less intelligence on the higher steps of politics tends to confirm to me that "the end is neigh". Not in a deadly kind of way but more like a need for society to awaken, to acknowledge its weaknesses and treat them, to evolve. Of course, evolution never came easy but it always needed to generate change in order to happened.
Well, change is not an easy thing for all of us unfortunately. And that's because the human being is a lazy being. It is constructed in such a way to conserve quality of life and peace of mind, once it got them. It will be hard to give up exotic fruits in Eastern Europe or Bulgarian pickles in New York. Reality, as it did before in our history when big things happened, will kick us once more in the head and we will need to forcefully adapt. Some of us, anyway...
Meanwhile there's this beautiful autumn going on (at least in Romania), one that can even seem peaceful if you chose your meditation spot carefully. The woods over here are in a brighter shade of red and yellow than in other years. Maybe the warmer days going more and more into the winter is a cause for that, but it's a nice opportunity to meet again the surroundings, shoots some nicely lit photos and take the kid for a stroll.

I wholeheartedly agree to all you wrote here, all the more than I am also Romanian and have been living back in the country since 2020 onwards. Very beautiful photographs as well! HIVE and Steemit are good starting points for content creators to truly monetize their work and I am very grateful for being here! It is always nice to see other fellow Romanians here! Makes me feel less lonely from a cultural point of view and sometimes write in my native language with native Romanian speakers. All the best and plenty of success here on HIVE! 🙂
