Born and raised in California, I find living here has its perks, such as the temperate weather, diverse cuisines, and sophisticated technology. However, it can be easy to become caught up with the fast pace society, leading to constant stress. Sometimes I wonder, what am I really here to do in life?
In honesty, I have always enjoyed a slower pace of life, and so I often feel I am out of place. I believe losing my job recently has allowed me to pause and take a step back to introspect and take things slowly.
Do you ever ask yourself what is a home? I don't know if I have ever felt what it is to be called a home. Perhaps one day, I will move somewhere far away. I do not know where, but somehow I know I will know when I find it.
In the mean time, I am learning to really enjoy the simple things in life.

I signed up for school to learn something new and as health is major passion of mine, I make smoothies and juice often to accompany my studies:
Sometimes we rush things or have too many deadlines and always feel like we are "on the go." It is unsurprising why anxiety is so common. One way to reduce this trouble is to carve out time each day to do something simple that allows you to be grounded: take a walk, eat your favorite healthy snack, get some sunlight, etc.
As I build a habit to take things slower and engage with the nature in my surrounding, I feel at ease and happy.
