DCity Chronicles - 9 months and impermanent loss.

Dcity 2020 Covid19
That definition was trending in Google searches recently between end of August to early September. Unlikely the same context with D-City game since more relevance to liquidity pool (LP) provider. Guess I should stop trying that hard, my apologies.

Bought my first D-City (SteemCity) card back in February 24 and I think is time to audit my accounts using a useful tool by @rafalski at Hive Data Space for Dcity

We cannot consider the summary as actual representation since offline trades and some data accuracy may have been loss during the transition from Steem to HIVE as well. However, it does serve as an insight to gauge roughly @joebabana performance in D-City.

In order for me to analyse further, I've re-positioned the Income & Cost on top of each other instead of horizontal linear display, using good ol Excel spreadsheet.

Voila

Looks like 3 out of 4 columns is in negative territory. Assuming the exchange rate average of 0.00475 HIVE per SIM, my current position in SWAP.HIVE or HIVE is (drumroll)

Negative 1,193 HIVE plus minus 10%

Season players will be quick to point, what about the cards valuation and current daily income?

If @joebabana exits today and someone willing to pay full or half city market valuation, then the loss can be a profit.
If @joebabana decide to stay on, continue to collect daily reward in HIVE & SIM with zero spending, ROI should be less than 60 days from today.

Zero spending is quite hard in D-City, as the game evolves and the temptation is there. There are couple of strategies to maximize return but mine may not be an exemplary one.
