Who do you delegate your HP to? Some APR with a lot of volatility - February 22, 2023

in #delegationlast year

Hi guys, here I am with my weekly update!

Still the usual list of 9 accounts but the delegated HP is now almost 3300, also in turn the performance of some has been fluctuating a lot lately.

But now let's start as usual and see the results of the last week together!

New in this update:

  • No new entries and no new exits this time.
  • The list currently includes 9 different accounts.
  • I have increased the value of some delegations again, now the total delegated is about 3300 HP.

What is this post for?

I thought it was interesting to share with you what I am doing here on Hive regarding the delegation of HP (Hive Power) with the aim of receiving daily or weekly rewards.

I am currently delegating these accounts and all of them will be used in this experimental analysis:

I am not involved with any of the accounts or projects to whom I have delegated, so consider my report as an independent way to analyze them or to verify their profitability.

Here is some information on each account and on the rewards that are distributed, also in brackets the total value of HP managed through delegations:

  • brofi (+400k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid BRO token.
Only works if you use at least about 30 HP.
  • dhedge (+20k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid DHEDGE token.
  • ecency (+1,5M HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid Hive.
    (P) Daily payout in ecency points, useful only if you regularly post quality content and use an ecency interface to use your points, as they cannot currently be used and sold on the Hive Engine market. I looked at it as if I used all the points in the boost tool.
I've added ecency twice so you can check the results with or without points.
  • helios.voter (+180k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid HELIOS token.
  • hiveupme (+50k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid UPME token and liquid VAULT token and liquid WINEX token.
  • leo.voter (+2,5M HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid LEO token.
  • pgm-curator (+15k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid Hive.
    (W) Weekly payout in liquid PGM token.
Sometimes it sends a few more different tokens but in such small quantities that it's not worth including in the total.
  • ua-promoter (+150k HP managed)
    (W) Weekly payout in liquid Hive and liquid UAP token.
  • youarealive (+15k HP managed)
    (W) Weekly payout in liquid ALIVE token.

Others I've tried but aren't currently on my list:
actifit, curangel, dustsweeper, hodlcommunity, lolzbot, steembasicincome, tipu, wrestorgonline.
If you think one of these is worth trying again please leave me a comment and tell me your experience!

Why can delegating my HP be useful?

I wrote a dedicated post about this, if you want to read it go to https://ecency.com/delegation/@bombus/why-can-delegating-my-hp

Some information on my report:

You can read this paragraph on an older post, see
https://ecency.com/delegation/@bombus/who-do-you-delegate-your-aec8a3ad9817a

And finally here are the results for the last 7 days:

I am continuing to generate a stable passive income stream however my APR is once again below my target due to excessive fluctuations on some accounts. I will continue to monitor these situations to make the most appropriate decisions.

If you like what I do please leave a comment. You can also suggest other accounts to delegate to add them to my list. I will be the only one to decide, however, if it is worth adding them based on my personal considerations.

Thanks for reading,
See you at the next update!

That was a very interesting read. I’ll be looking out for those updates in the next weeks to come.

Hey there! 😊🤙 glad to see another post from u! yeah.. it's slow going sometimes, but we get to the finish!

😄🐝

Another great update - I quite like these delegation list posts as its quite handy when deciding what other delegations to make.
I've also started making a delegation to @qurator. Its quite small at the moment, but they payout daily HIVE equating to about 80% of their daily curation rewards. It seems to work out not too bad, but I havent calculated APR yet.
Was also thinking of trying @curie and @ocd - but I dont know too much about those delegations yet, apart from that they support content creation, which is great.
Cheers

very interesting post!

I need to know more about delegating for passive income.

9.23% from DHEDGE? That's unacceptable.

I just did my analysis on the market. It has usually always been 20%, it may be that there was an unfavorable price swing in the last check. However I should make another one within a couple of days

It's locked in at 21%, but based on the sell price instead of buy as your analysis, the difference between the two during must have been unfavorable.

EDIT: Another column in your table with the price you did your math on would be a great addition to your reports. Keep them up, I keep an eye on these for my own references.

Good idea. I will try to put the price in a new column!
