Very good @zuerich. The "world" squelches any discussion of this:
"Why do "Palestinian" "refugees" exist? Because of anti-Semitism and because Arab leaders do not care about their fellow Arabs."
"If Arab leaders (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, .....) did care about their fellow Arabs, they would easily take these "refugees" in, and the conflict would be solved."
This "inconvenient truth" (borrowing from the title of Al Gore's infamous book ...) is the heart of the matter, in so many ways. I was in the audience the night Yitzhak Rabin was very eloquent and powerfully persuasive in detailing why this is so, many years ago at a major university here in America.
This latest war is ancient in its origins. Bringing into direct conflict two systems of belief - one of which must be wrong. There is no viable alternative to understanding this.
The world is now witness to the latest "chapter" of the consequences ...
